{Question} About Merging 2 Square Enix Accounts

I have two ffxi accounts each on its own square enix account because a dualboxing friend almost lost total access to his curebox when the transition was made. Something glitched for him, and I didn't want to encounter the same thing.

I'd really rather they be on the same account. Is there a way to merge SE accounts online, or will SE do this for me over the phone?

I didn't know you could merge accounts at all. I thought that once your POL is linked to an SE account then it stays that way forever? I'm possibly wrong?

I don't think it's possible to merge SE accounts. However, it is possible to unlink a POL ID from an SE account and add it later to another SE account. For this though, you will need to contact them via phone or live chat (depending on your region) to unlink a POL ID. They will ask for some info. to verify you are in fact the real owner.
