there are still plenty groups who win nyzul with 3-5+ min left. those groups have nothing to worry about cept maybe a small dip in win percentage. anyone who has ever done lamp orders the real way in old school nyzul knows its fairly easy to do if you fully understand how they work. this will add 1-2min tops to lamp order.
buuuut i'm sure anyone who is in this boat already realizes this.
An order lamp floor means instant loss most of the time. You could get lucky and it get it right on the first time, or have it only be three lamps, but four or more and it's game over. Old NI was only five floors at a time, we're now talking 18~20 floors required.
Honestly what hurts order lamps is the wait times. 30s to find all the lamps if your lucky, then going over various sequences and narrowing it down, all with 15s cooldowns in-between. Your talking 3 to 5 min to do the floor, that's way too long. Once you add that to the typical BS that gets thrown at you it gets ugly. Thought not as bad as kill all floor with Genbu, Krutzel, Tarrasque and some other NM with a few mobs thrown in for sh!ts. Or having a "same time" lamp floor where the 5th lamp was three rooms to the east, five to the south and two to the west of the entrance.
Not even once I insulted you in my replies. Now I feel insulted.
You assume everyone has the same culture as you. I can understand a "idiom" which is familiar to you in a completely different manner.
Also you understand EXACTLY what I mean and knows why people are supposed to return the files to their original state before updating, yet you use that to attack me. Silly me getting involved with cheating people yet again (like the stupid discussion about botting with Sevourn 2 years ago).
It's outstanding how the JPs are asking for all NAs with NNI gear to be banned basically. They keep saying how NAs get away with everyone and JPs are always punished while NAs aren't.
Banned? For the .dats hacks? Absolutely zero, unless you ran around Jeuno screaming it at the top of your lungs. Check above for detectability.
Selling wins for gil seems like a pretty big "yeah, we're cheating this" flag but knowing SE a knee-jerk ban on anyone with large amounts of NIU gear would not be far from the typical irrational responses this company conducts when someone breaks their precious hamster wheels.
Great, because I'm 15/15 I might be banned and I did it all on vanilla?
If all 6 of your members are vanilla then you would be wrongly banned. However, I bet that isn't the case. Therefore, you are benefiting from others cheating.
Bunch of the floor 80 gear is still useful to some degree... so people without 100 gear can find solace in that I suppose.
Nyzul would be more confusing to me if this wasn't FFXI tbh. The largely random element of hitting floor 100 wouldn't be so bad since the event is actually relatively fun to do, but then it's tied to a once-per-day lockout. An hour, maybe two hours, would be far more reasonable... but no. FFXI's trademark shitty "assault tag systems" are all over the place and serve only to artificially extend the life of events due to a slow content development cycle.
You don't NEED cheats to win. The only issue I ever found when doing nyzle isle was order lamps. The rest is very very simple stuff. And you don't always get order lamps in a run. IF you want the best gear, work for it.

Rephrased:
If you want the best gear jump through the hoops that are poorly designed rather than have the developers modify the content to cut down on random luck and improve on the redeeming qualities of Nyzul Uncharted.
Stop defending poorly designed content. It's embarrassing.

While selling wins is definitely a dumb a$$ thing to do, there is a very small chance those doing it will be banned. Honestly the only ones who will get hit are players not smart enough to adopt the first rule of fight club. Biggest source of info for SE is archived chat logs, everything else becomes a guessing game.
Players are vicious, vindictive, petty and generally out for blood more often then not. Players are more then willing to hurt others, provided they get theirs, that their not effected by the blood letting and that they get to chose the targets to slaughter. Developers on the other hand have a much harder time distinguishing between who should and should not be killed.
Just change the lamps to server side and move on. They will most likely adjust the event later to make it easier just like they do with everything else in this game. How long will it take? I don't know but it will probably happen.
Salvage bannings 2.0!!!! lol, but seriously. If they look at logs even if nothing is said in chat it can be pretty obvious. Oh wow they just did two order lamp floors in one run on first try not likely at all. Also being negligent to what your team mates do is no excuse either not that I think anyone should get banned ***'s HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE.
However though if jps are complaining they can go *** themselves, whenever i've called a gm on them they typically don't do ***and get away with murder. They have all the access to anything an na or eu player can do third party wise if not better.
Honestly talking... Can they really afford to loose so many people if they do a lot of bannings ?
I mean.. I dont think there's the same population as when the salvage bans happened.
SE is a Japanese company and their way of doing things is different than ours, honor over reason, that's just their culture. They have proved this to us during the salvage bans when everyone said the same thing.
But my personal opinion as it stands right now is that they won't be doing mass bannings. I could be wrong though.

Being ignorant to the wants/desires of the customers that pay your bills isn't honor, it's stupidity.
If they were going to mass ban people they wouldn't have made an announcement/warning in the first place--it serves no other purpose than to prevent future exploitation. They are obviously trying to fix what they consider to be a bug, and until that time, they want to reduce cheating as much as possible.
If they do mass ban people then they are officially more HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE than I realized and the announcement/warning serves absolutely no purpose. People are going to be banned no matter what at this point, so why inform people that the exploit exists before it's fixed?
Edit: If I remember correctly with the salvage bans, there was never any warning, simply an emergency maintenance.
We recently confirmed that there is a bug for Nyzul Isle assault where users are able to know the order of lamps via the usage of unintended exploits.
The development team is currently working to fix this as soon as possible, but please keep in mind that using third-party tools or any form of game exploit usage will not be tolerated and that we are continuously keeping track and dealing with this issue.
Finally, if you are aware of players possibly using exploits, we urge you to make a report to the Special Task Force to help facilitate our investigation.
