HAHAHAHA!
It doesn't matter. When SE decides you're banned, you're banned. Fair or not.
That ToS you are so fond of works both ways.
But by all means have fun telling SE that whatever means they used to determine who was banned or not was "unfair." That is, if there are any bannings at all.
I'm not sure which would upset you more......
Lol it has nothing to do with whether "me" is upsetted or not. Whether I'm upset over getting banned or cheaters gets F100 gears is_not_relevant in this discussion. But it has something to do with whether the execution will convince other players that justice exist and ToS breakers will get punishment.
Why do you think SE is banning players and lose income? Is to create a fair playing environment, and warn cheaters that you can't cheat, or else if everyone fleeing through walls, this game will be ruined.
As previous stated, is there to set examples and warn cheaters, so customers have faith in their product. And if you want to set examples, then it requires good execution or else you're just conveying wrong idea and it's not going to have the effect it's intended to.
It's like if police let Thief A goes, but arrested thief B, and innocent citizen C, it will cause more problem than letting all thief go away or arrest everyone, because citizens isn't going to know what's the standard, can they steal or not? If they're not allowed to steal, how come thief A got away?
The reason why .dat swap got abused so much is because nothing but double standard. SE didn't say ***about .dat swap, third pt tool. Takes no reaction on all those youtube videos, even when players posted/asked on the forum regarding third pt tool/windower and such, SE has no reaction, and not firm against it. That indirectly told players "We know you're breaking the rule, but we're just pretending we didn't see it". Then some JP cried on the forum, SE changed their attitude, they just digged a hole for themselves, because of no other reason but double standard. Now they have to spend more effort to fix the hole. This would not happen at all if they're banning .dat swap players and make order lamp on the server side from the beginning. Now whatever they do, there won't be any justice to any group.
It's fine if they want to do bad executions with double standards, player account banned, we lost account and quit, ok. But from business prospective, SE lost the most(and those who didn't cheat early). I was just pointed this out when very 1st post I replied about players asked for a ban hammer for justice, unless they can detect who .dat swapped who didn't, there are no "justice" in this incident no matter how they do it.
1. Let all the .dat swap player go and no punishment = not fair for those who didn't cheat early.
2. Ban all pt that 1/1 on order lamp = not fair for those who really guessed right on 1st try.
3. Ban all pt saying 1 2 3 4 in pt chat = May accidently ban innocent players using 1 2 3 4 as code name, and skype/vent users get away. It's like telling everyone "If you want to cheat, cheat with skype" but not telling ppl "don't cheat"
4. Cancel order lamp completely, so everyone get the advantage and no one lose anything. The only fair solution, but SE apparently doesn't want to and this option is out.
Stop thinking I'm QQing, I know just well that SE can ban players in any way and ban anyone they want, and whether I'm upset/QQ or not over this is not relevant. I'm not the one who is "upset" over this incident due to SE's double standard, it was those who didn't cheat early(and they're the one who lost the most atm). But that doesn't mean that's any sort of "justice". I was merely pointed out using justice as a word isn't even convincing to begin with.
