Anyways doesn't affect me in the slightest if they do or not, never took part in the scandel only a few legit attempts with LS mates so no fear or retribution and if I wanted the gear badly enough could easily have bought the pieces by now, gil so easy to come by and all lol

This

Id love my Thaumas pieces, but I'm not willing to risk an 8yo character for em. Though if they could do it 100% legit, I'd gladly pay for a F100 clear.

It doesn't matter. When SE decides you're banned, you're banned. Fair or not.

That ToS you are so fond of works both ways.

But by all means have fun telling SE that whatever means they used to determine who was banned or not was "unfair." That is, if there are any bannings at all.

I'm not sure which would upset you more......

Lol it has nothing to do with whether "me" is upsetted or not. Whether I'm upset over getting banned or cheaters gets F100 gears is_not_relevant in this discussion. But it has something to do with whether the execution will convince other players that justice exist and ToS breakers will get punishment.

Why do you think SE is banning players and lose income? Is to create a fair playing environment, and warn cheaters that you can't cheat, or else if everyone fleeing through walls, this game will be ruined.
As previous stated, is there to set examples and warn cheaters, so customers have faith in their product. And if you want to set examples, then it requires good execution or else you're just conveying wrong idea and it's not going to have the effect it's intended to.

It's like if police let Thief A goes, but arrested thief B, and innocent citizen C, it will cause more problem than letting all thief go away or arrest everyone, because citizens isn't going to know what's the standard, can they steal or not? If they're not allowed to steal, how come thief A got away?

The reason why .dat swap got abused so much is because nothing but double standard. SE didn't say ***about .dat swap, third pt tool. Takes no reaction on all those youtube videos, even when players posted/asked on the forum regarding third pt tool/windower and such, SE has no reaction, and not firm against it. That indirectly told players "We know you're breaking the rule, but we're just pretending we didn't see it". Then some JP cried on the forum, SE changed their attitude, they just digged a hole for themselves, because of no other reason but double standard. Now they have to spend more effort to fix the hole. This would not happen at all if they're banning .dat swap players and make order lamp on the server side from the beginning. Now whatever they do, there won't be any justice to any group.

It's fine if they want to do bad executions with double standards, player account banned, we lost account and quit, ok. But from business prospective, SE lost the most(and those who didn't cheat early). I was just pointed this out when very 1st post I replied about players asked for a ban hammer for justice, unless they can detect who .dat swapped who didn't, there are no "justice" in this incident no matter how they do it.

1. Let all the .dat swap player go and no punishment = not fair for those who didn't cheat early.

2. Ban all pt that 1/1 on order lamp = not fair for those who really guessed right on 1st try.

3. Ban all pt saying 1 2 3 4 in pt chat = May accidently ban innocent players using 1 2 3 4 as code name, and skype/vent users get away. It's like telling everyone "If you want to cheat, cheat with skype" but not telling ppl "don't cheat"

4. Cancel order lamp completely, so everyone get the advantage and no one lose anything. The only fair solution, but SE apparently doesn't want to and this option is out.

Stop thinking I'm QQing, I know just well that SE can ban players in any way and ban anyone they want, and whether I'm upset/QQ or not over this is not relevant. I'm not the one who is "upset" over this incident due to SE's double standard, it was those who didn't cheat early(and they're the one who lost the most atm). But that doesn't mean that's any sort of "justice". I was merely pointed out using justice as a word isn't even convincing to begin with.

If you hate double-standards, you better commit suicide right now before you ever enter the real world. Yeah they suck, but they aren't going away any time soon. Nut-up, put your big-boy pants on, pick your battles, and get off your high-horse.

Ever checked the shouts page? Well guess what? You benefited in game from someone else using a TPA!!! BANHAMMER TIEM!!!

If your reaction to anyone that questioned the method of doing things is to ask them to "commit suicide", you may as well ask all the journalist/writer/social worker etc go commit suicide, because nobody have right to question double-standard in this world according to your logic, anyone who questioned are considered "crybaby". We're not allow to question our government, nor one damn video game we paid and play, get real.

Is this what it's about? I'm one of the "rest of the players" and I don't give a ***whether "justice exists" or if "ToS breakers will get punishment."

You seem to give a ***, or at the very least believe OTHER PEOPLE give a ***, despite acknowledging you have no control or recourse.

As for the rest of your post:

tldr;

But thanks for your recap.

If another person tries to "scooby-doo" how SE might try to separate exploiters from non exploiters, just stop. Please save your keyboard the trouble.

Just try to imagine it from the non-playing media point of view "You banned all players who completed your content because you knew you made it too hard to win legitimately and some people did win".

If they are non playing media how would they interpret players corrupting game files to win as the above? I agree most players would feel that way, most players feel NNI was impossible/too low a win ratio to win without exploits so "what did SE expect?". SE will argue it was new content and if it had problems with people not able to complete it it would have addressed it, which it said it is now.

You're also assuming SE logic matches your own with banning, if they check logs and find evidence of ToS contravention there is not a 100% chance they will not get banned.

They won't ban everyone with 100 gear that's not what I was saying lol It's pretty stupid to think they will, but I also think it's wrong to think you know SE policy enough to completely rule it out.

Anyways doesn't affect me in the slightest if they do or not, never took part in the scandel only a few legit attempts with LS mates so no fear or retribution and if I wanted the gear badly enough could easily have bought the pieces by now, gil so easy to come by and all lol

Don't need to know SE policy, just need to know Japanese gaming culture. They'll ban you all right, if they can catch you. There is no way to catch people for the .dat mod, thus they can't ban for it. Only method that remotely gets people is the "ban everyone with 100 gear" which would REALLY embarrass them in-front of the professional gaming media.

Blah-blah-blah BANHAMMER TIEM!!!

Pretentious holier-than-thou rant confusing double-standard with opposing corruption

You obviously missed the post where I apologized for the exaggerated comments.
And it is still not a doublestandard to differentiate between minor and major ToS violations and dispense corresponding penalties instead of just whacking everyone with a PermaBan.

Ok for all you "ban everyone with a floor 100 piece!", I actually know a group who farms floor 80 for gear. Their doing it 100% legit and they've had some success. It's slow, very slow, their primary getting +3's and planning on using the 25 KI's to get 100 pieces.

So ... should we ban them too, just cause they got a 100 piece or two? Or is there an arbitrary minimum amount required for the righteous ban hammer of justice?

I don't think anyone is advocating that anyone who has gear should face consequences, only people who obtained it through exploits should. However SE makes the call is their decision.

Btw it is possible to get 1/1 on lamp especially there's only 3 lamps.....

Also we use 1 2 3 4 to determine orders. How does that lead straight to cheating? If a player said oh this lamp is number ###, then maybe. But simply stating an order is not cheating.

I really believe no one is going to be banned at this point. I think the SE development team realized there's a lot of nyzul mechanics being abused by players at the moment and awaiting player feedback to what to do next. It wouldn't be fair for pick up groups especially when legitimate players were unaware of of users using third party software in their group. Let alone not worth for SE to go one by one verdicts for each player.

I also think the nyzul floors are monitored by GMs. If a banning were to happen, it would have been immediately case by case.

For all lamps, it should tell you how many lamps there are at least.

Just because they temped for Clipper doesn't mean they won't perma for this. Clipper was a warning to stop "cheating" in this event. If they kept "cheating" they can say "we warned you, now you are permaed"

Sorry i havent read through this whole topic even though a lot of it is the same thing over & over again but i just wanted to point out something. People are saying yeah everyone who has nni gear will get banned, but guess what people who dont have nni gear are STILL using these "cheats", they are just lacking something *skill/communication/etc* to actually beat 100. You cant just assume that people who dont have nni gear arent using .dat changes & whatever else. Imo, the people who should be getting banned are the people who are shouting to sell the gear because those are people who practically have to be using some type of exploit & are making it obvious.

I thought this was obvious seeing how this is a nyzul isle topic, but of course i mean using exploits within nyzul isle to make the ridiculous event slightly less luck based. If possible, it'd be best if no one was penalized for making changes to a flawed system since SE doesn't plan on making any much needed changes. But Se cant simply point fingers at the players who have gear and say "oh you must be using cheats, ban" when they arent the only ones guilty and theres no proof of these exploits.

Because people are mad (rightfully) that this content will become more difficult for legitimate players and for those who have used tools to sell wins / assist in wins.

All this change does is punish the playerbase as a whole and further drive this content deeper into the abyss of obscurity while doing nothing to address the issues that were causing people to cheat in the first place.

I don't see swapping dats any different than swapping dats or using radar for the Hagun ENM, because that was worth 6-10mil at that time, and would also be considered a "cheat" since you know where the main Ant is everytime and you don't have to aggro any helpers if done correctly.

You hit the nail on the head...people (IMO) need to direct their frustrations more at SE. SE needs to get off their lazy *** and not copy and paste one event into another as opposed to "He cheats and I can't...ban him!"

I've seen 1 linkshells website that boasts they have over 130 pieces of F100 gear (enough for like 10-12 ppl at 15/15) and they sell gear now to fund relics, for people on consoles or those not wanting to risk their characters etc it's a pretty big "up yours" lol especially when people sit in jeuno with 5/5 on.

Basically it's a return to the old HNM days, I got gear you can't get.. unless you buy from me! xD Not hard to see why some people angry.

nyzul is heavy with penalizing you, i mean the only bonuses this event gives you is a free floor(super rare)or a stat boost. hell the avoid gear floors that take away mins from more then order lamp. only flaw here is that people want easy mode everything.

I think its funny how people complain about lamp floors honestly the best way to do lamp floors is when u find a lamp do a / and check it (for order) if it saves time and helps you figure out the order peoples who stay on are in the correct spot so you only need to move around people who turn off basicly this makes it so your second most times if not third guess is correct it has always worked well for myself and i honesly can say i have never done this swap bs for lamps its pretty funny @_@ the only thing i do hate about lamps is it takes so long to register once u have the correct order :< ***pisses me off lol idk @_@ communication is key if you go with people who dont pay attention/communicate then yes lamps are shitty @_@ and will screw ur run lol

Actually, it is hard for me to see why people are getting mad...maybe I'm more laid back with this game compared to others. Honestly though, what they do isn't affecting my gaming experience. All I see it as is this game doing what it does...enables people to be immature about immaterial objects and just complain about it. Anyway, I'll stop now, my viewpoint won't change anything, was just wondering why people get so mad over this lol

Due to how the event is designed you can't waste more than 2 minutes on each floor and if you don't catch the order right the first time you're going to spend more than you can allow yourself on that floor. Time wasted to find all lamps, time wasted to activate them and deactivate them in their stupid long delay, time wasted to repeat once or twice. It is a run killer.

Wtf are you talking about, it's not about being easy or hard, it's about blind luck, might as well be called Nyzul Lottery Climb.
