My mnks pretty geared too the teeth, so perhaps thats why ive always out DD rag drks or sams (Its true) Generally do 3000~4600 DMG shijin spirals and switch over too Vere on any boss floors and do 2800~5000 dmg (Depends if dbl/triple/quad procs.
Anyone out there creating a group, don't write off a Mnk especially if he has a Spharai. The SCH always go's with the WAR and the drk or x2 sams, I as a mnk never have a SCH with me because i rely on my counters and perfect counters too keep me alive. Not having too attend too DD's is a huge utility in my book. Blu is very good on his own as well and DRK with apoc is in the same catagory.
A problem in perception between people who gear a job to the teeth to stand out very well versus people who use stronger weapons and perform ok. The person who is the former is probrably parsing very close or better than the latter but hasn't gone up against someone who has fully or near fully optimized the use of a weapon with the proper gearsets, buffs for each phase. I've seen your monk in action a few times and it is well geared.
What you probrably haven't parsed is someone who is fully geared to the teeth on something like rag, masa, ukon, etc. And also what you're parsing against tends to be separated a lot on floors you'd need them to be parsing as well to pick up any damage lost on your parser for being out of range. Unless you just parse boss floors but I don't know how much time is at your leisure to switch and press a button on your parser(not that it takes much time but still.)
Coming from someone that watched (VW)
a 90 ukon break even or be slightly better than a 99 rag
90 Masa destroy a 95 amano
Kantonotachi beat an ukon, almace(mine), vere handily.
Almace(mine) beating ukon, masa, gandiva, armageddon, mandau, kannagi, verethragna
Some of the above is pretty silly but it can happen and I know there are more variables in VW than in NN but it comes down to people knowing how to optimize and coordinate their weapon of choice with the proper set and the buff you probrably haven't met (or you're eyeballing) superior DD.
Considering(and not a jab at your business) that some of your hands are clients I can imagine them not being at their best since there is a tendency for the best to have their own groups and their own schedules and the likelyhood to be well done with this sort of thing
