For those who somehow don't know, it's going on right now. Some quick pricepoints for people.

*NOTE: There are additional price cuts called "Flash Sales" going as well, they last 6 hours each for 4 titles at a time, it seems it bumps the discount up to 75%.

*NOTE2: There are also additional price cuts for "Community picks" which are user-voted sales that last 8 hours.

I see that amazon has XI at $11.99 atm as well. Will amazon continue to mirror the price on steam if it goes below $11.99? Or should I just grab it off Amazon while it is discounted? (I've seen on this site somewhere that amazon is slightly more recommended, because of the easy to use downloader incase you need to use it again)

Glad I held out on getting Skyrim for PC; $60 for game released last year plus I had it on PS3 from Gamefly but sent it back and been wanting to finish the rest of the game since.

May have to pick up Bioshock 1/2 for the hell of it too. Love those games and sure I'll replay them again sometime soon!

Amazon doesn't pay that close attention to steam. I think they just make a list and have their own sale during Steam's sale from time to time. I recall getting Witcher 2 from amazon because it was cheaper during their winter sale but I never saw them fluctuate prices like they do on steam. That said, I don't know if FFXI is something steam usually has a specific day for which it is cheaper than other days during the sale.


PC is the way to go with the TES games, there's so many mods over at the skyrim nexus. the monster mod, monster wars mod, and warzones mod are reasons enough to get it and that's just 3 of hundreds. They make it so there's a wider variety of monsters and you'll actually see them in the field fighting each other. I ran across a battlefield of imperials fighting stormcloaks with bears fighting undead. It just makes it feel like there's an actual war going on in the game instead of how it is in vanilla.

btw, Max Payne 3 is 50% off now, I was right :D

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (-50%, $29.99)

If I have to pay $60 for a game. It better come in a box with a instruction manual, DVD disc, misc stuff, etc. Some really good deals but nothing to buy. XSeed needs to localize Legend of Heroes VI or Zwei II for the PC. I'll pay $60 for either of those games.

Fable: The Lost Chapters is $2.50 for the next 6 or 7 hours. Still my favorite of the Fable games I think.

Yeah my steam has been unable to connect to the store all day... I had to connect through my *** phone in order to get New vegas... and even then I got the wrong god damn one D:
