I was half expecting them to release a FFXIV add-on to upset the FFXI player base but looks though I was wrong. Guess that's a good thing I was wrong though.

I don't expect this to save FFXI, but at this point there is not much that can actually hurt it except even more unfulfilled promises. This at least will give players something to explore, which is something many players have been hoping to do for a few years now.

hopefully all the new devs they hired will prevent that from happening. also any speculation on compleation reward if any?
I would like to know how they plan on getting us there.
Will they be lazy and just create an NPC to teleport us, will they add an airship? (unlikely) Maybe an extension of port sandy where we go by ship. Airship where the first mission is a against a flying monster on the ship!
