No, you can see him post-game (Everfall) but you -must- have averted him from being imprisoned. Once post game starts (first time you fall into the Everfall in a cutscene) he will visit the Ale house in the morning. You have to sleep till morning, go to the Ale house and just wait, eventually he'll show up, baring all his goodies. It will take abit for him to show up, but he will, just be patient. On average he takes around 10mins to show up.

Ahh... I guess I just never wandered into him there... I know you're never allowed back up into noble's quarter at that point in the game without getting hassled by the guards lol...
Having a hard time figuring out when things in this game are random and when they are scripted.
For example I was walking around looking for a healing spring that I heard about when I saw a group of goblins hanging around. I went up to them and after I killed like 3 of them a chimera came out of nowhere and tore me several new booty-holes.
Then I picked up a quest to help a group of people win back a fort and as soon as I left town a cart was being attacked by goblins, so I ran in to help and a freaking griffon came down. It only fought us for a minute before it flew off, but then en route to my quest I ran into another griffon that did pretty much the same thing. On top of all that I also ran into a dragon (they referred to it as THE Dragon and when it grabbed my pawn it said "I am your master") and that dragon raped my face off (along with a goblin ambush) so I don't know if that was random or a quest fight I have to do later or what.
It is hard to tell what stuff I am supposed to be doing at my level and I seem to be constantly getting myself into situations where I just run, die, load, run, save, run, save, run, die, load, run, save etc etc etc.

Just as a useful information: This is the best time to level up your classes without doing anything. Lure the guards out, stand on a wall or ledge where the guards cant hit you, and let your pawns to the killing for you. Free exp and you can go to sleep or w/e

WOW. Holy ***, *** this game's save system to hell.
I just spent the better part of an hour walking to the place to help lay siege on this fort.
I get in and start trying to find what I need, a handle to open the gate, and find myself up against a couple cyclops. They kill me after about 30 minutes of trying to fight them, no checkpoints so I get to try again...
I get in, manage to run past them, open the gates, things start to go south, mostly due to ballista fire raining down on me, when I see that one of them is in an area I can reach. So I reload again with plans to take it out...
So this time I run past the cyclops, open the gate, then run to the ballista, when I find out I can use it... or so the game leads me to believe. As soon as I touch the *** thing and try to aim it at all, the ballista on the other side pummel me with explosive shots so I can get a shot of. They ended up destroying the damn thing so I turn around to go back and fight things out the old fashioned way when the general of the people I am helping takes a dive. At this point I am thinking, mission failed time to load up again, so I hit the pause menu to pick exit game and low and behold...
THE GAME *** AUTO SAVES AS SOON AS I FAIL THE QUEST.
So now my only option is to load from a checkpoint, throwing away the last 3 hours I spent playing to start the quest (and a few others I finished along the way) all over again, including running past the heyfuckyou dragon and griffons.
I switched my Pawn to Warrior and for some reason he has a lot of skills available that I didn't on my main when I was playing Warrior. Anyone have any idea why?
Anyone know if there is a way to use items on pawns? In the demo you could select a target for your items out of the main guys inventory and make the pawns use items in their, but in the main game it seems to be all up to the AI and only self target for items.
It is really fun, I have already beaten it once, working on my first NG+... the post-game content was a little tough after just one playthrough but I was only like level 50 (I guess cap is 200?).
I ran into the Ur-Dragon very briefly...
There is a lot to do quest wise, some pretty good story to it as well although I will say that the storyline was really short (I have read posts about people beating it in a NG+ within 1 hour using port crystals from previous playthroughs).
I have to say though after playing as both a male and a female Arisen that the game is very sexist. The only major downside to playing as a male character is one part with female thieves but you can work around it with a clever disguise (think Cloud in FF7). However being a female you have a few drawbacks including maximum character size and the fact that Ogres will target females in your team first and get enraged if females are around which can make them a pain to fight. So far after 2 playthroughs there seems to be no permanent non-workaroundable downside to playing a male character.

I can't think of why... they should get the same skills... only thing that should make more available is if one is a higher rank...

The only way you can use items on pawns is to use an item that affects all party members.... otherwhise you just put the item in their inventory and they will use it as they see fit... I usually just put some spring water on em and they;re fine lol...

yeah... it saves every time you do something pretty much to offset that you can rest somewhere which creates a checkpoint. There is a camp near that place where you can do that. Personally I didn't even let the soldiers in until I had killed both cyclops...
Just want to say, bought this game yesterday started playing it around 8 pm, Been playing it since then, This game is fun as hell >_> I feel like im cheating though, 1 of my friends on the psn network has a lvl 70 pawn , and ive been using her, and 1 of my other friends has a lvl 28 pawn..... that being said, even with the those 2 pawns helping me game is still pretty tough lol.
Also, idk why so many people talk crap about this song , I love it, but that may be because I watched alot of naruto/bleach back in the day and this sounds like some of there openings.....
Just beat my first playthrough. Sucks, I didn't know that killing the dragon will dragonqforge all of my current gear. Now I have to grind the drakes for the gears that I really wanted.
