OMG this game is officially the best *** thing ever. I got a quest where I have to kill 45 bunnies. Just so happens you can grab them the same way you can grab enemies and then throw them, and there is a whole bunch of them that spawn outside the first village, right next to a freaking cliff. I LOVE IT.

Some people like to spam the drake... kill rest for 7 days kill again... something like 26k per kill with 3 pawns out. everfall is nice... but it's a bit tough at 43...

When you guys are getting up there in level, are you pretty godlike? I mean right now I am going into hour 4 of an escort quest I accidently picked because I am clearly underleveled, pretty much kiting/pulling one enemy, killing it, saving, and when the escort dies I reload. On top of that I don't even know where the hell I am going @_@

In some cases yeah... the higher you get the easier things become and the mobs never become a higher level than they already are... The only things I still have trouble with (at 91) are when there are two gore chimeras a lich and what seems like an unending amount of hellhounds in the everfall...

Escort missions are a pain in my *** until NG+ then you can buy and leave port crystals all over the place and then port with your escortee... you can always cancel the escort mission... it really only is useful for a few items and building affinity with the npc... They are a huge pain when you're really low and don't have the map filled out...

Unfortunately, you do not get the armor offline nor do you get the crazy good weapons and cool mask however you can get the staff, sword, and daggers from him offline but no shields maces 2handers etc for advance jobs

Offline version flies away after 8 mins as does the online version but there's a twist to the online version anybody that dies to the online version will give it your current max hp if you run away you give it 125% hp and if you die and revive with a wake stone you give it 75% hp please keep in mind other people are fighting the online version with you so if you feel your too weak do not fight it. Everybodys cumalative damage is put together to take it down. If t dies you gain rewards also there is a 30 minute grace period in which you can deliver the final blow after someone's killed it so for you newbies out there if you get lucky and stumble in on a dead ur dragon congrats lol. Also the offline dragon does not recover hp if it flies away you can reenter and it will be where you last did damage

I beat the living tar out of this game and still keep coming back to it. The developers for this game are the same team that do the monster hunter games so the similarities in gameplay is plain to see for many MH veterans.

As far as the Ur-dragon(playstation version since its Gen 70+ now) goes, expect yourself to do no more than perhaps half of a life bar if your on assassin with augments aimed to maximize your atk, matk (i.e. autonomy). As someone noted before normal monsters(with the exception of Ur-dragon) do not scale to your level. Making the world both an exciting yet dangerous thing to traverse early level(1-50). The only sad part I have with the game is how small the world feels once you've explored it all. Also the piss poor dlc quests aren't worth it at all. Also I'm sure a few of you have noticed but every vocation has a growth rate, I highly advise sticking to the class that increases your most desired stats 10-100 for maximum potential. Post level 100 your stat growth per level drops significantly and some classes observe no growth in certain areas. Like warrior/Fighter will not grow in terms of magic attack or defense.

Sry for the double post but the most effective vocation I've seen against the UR-Dragon is Assassin due to Dire Gouge. The least is Warrior due to its very weak cling-attack. Also as a tip the easiest spot to stagger the Ur-dragon is through its right arm... unless its hearts have already been destroyed, in which case I recommend the back legs.

Mystic knight with light augment and spam great cannon is also good but not nearly as good as solo assassin with dire gouge and ascalon

Just beat the game for the first time (Lv48 at the end.) I bought it on the 17th, but restarted yesterday morning (start as fighter to get HP/stamina augments asap.) So spent a day playing. :< Granted I didn't do too many side quests, so I'm going to do all of those on playthrough2. :x

Also, question about the ending.

if your pawn won't strike... try getting close to the boss and using right or left on the dpad for help... or hold the boss and do the same... that might help...

Best thing to do against the Ur Dragon (online) is grind out alot of money, buy a maker's arrow off the dude whose name escapes me (costs 200k and the price increases everytime you buy it) and use it on one of the Ur-Dragon's Heart, preferably an untouched one. I was doing 3/4's a bar when I was level 94, now I'm lv123, shot one not long ago and did a whole bar and abit.

I'd also recommend you frequent this sites forum on Dragon's Dogma:

http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/626514-dragons-dogma
(This link is to the Xbox 360 Forum)

http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/626515-dragons-dogma
(This link is to the PS3 Forum)

they post health updates on the Ur-Dragon etc, really useful, especially if your gimp and wanna go in and leech a kill.

also other bits of useful info, and if you make an account can make threads, helpful info gets replied relatively fast most the time.

I also dont remember the name, but its the guy that you can help to decide wether he has to go to jail or stay free. that bald man who wants that poor family out of his house, i guess you should know who i mean.

If you help to get him to jail, i dont know if you can still buy an arrow after that, so be careful!

That really only applies for NG+ though... Once you get to the point where you're going through the everfall you can't buy from him anyways...

I just found that guy who sells the arrow, I notice he has a charm with a hefty (for me atm anyway) price tag, how do the charms work? Is it a one use only kinda thing?
