I've played the game and I thought it was a knock off to Skyrim for the majority with it.

Quite a dumb comment from clearly someone who hasnt played the game, 20 mins into this game you will have fought a cerberus and a hydra not to mention the lvling, skills arc, playstyle, combat, support jobs, parties, pawns, pretty much everything has little in common with skyrim apart from the fact there are also dragons in this game too But the dragons in this game are a different breed to skyrim and much more difficult to deal with.

Stunned that someone could come out with that sort of comment claiming to have played this game must just be a troll, never mind the fact they would have been in development on this well before skyrim was released, and i apreciate that most people (me included) love skyrim but to overlook this game because its like skyrim is just plain dumb.

Yup. It's apples and oranges. They're both set in a similar fantasy setting and they both have swords. That's about where the similarities end. I'd liken this game to monster hunter more than anything else.

Yea its as easy to compare it to zelda or soulcalibur as it is to compare it to skyrim:p

simply its a RPG with some hack and slash some side quests and some crazy boss battles which wont leave you disapointed, i honestly thought people who love ffxi will straight up love this game like i have hopefully some of you will.

very fun game, I'm level 104 now and my favorite job being fighter and ranger.

hoping they will add in some tough content though, only problem with this game for me is ememies never scale, even on NG+. I've gotten to the point were those fun-slightly challenging everfall fights are now all 10-15 second fights pretty much. Everything else about the game though is fantasic, a better game than Skyrim if you ask me, just more fun to actually feel like your hitting a mob and preform diffent kind of attacks rather than skyrims lame simple swings of a sword

I watched the Zero Punctuation review of this game where Yahtzee essentially broke it down as you are a fantasy setting pimp, describing the pawn system. I decided based on that alone that I would check it out and tried the demo, which was pretty freaking awesome.

Probably going to pick this game up in the next day or two, looking forward to playing it.

I take it you compare every MMO to WoW? The comparison to Monster Hunter was much more accurate.

Is there an option for multiplayer, or is it single-player only with the pawns for additional party members?

EDIT: Nevermind, found the answer.

Can you download pawns from specific people, like your friendslist and whatnot or is it random which ones you get to pick form?

Yes you can hire pawns from friends & pick any random just look out for the "Guardian" Inclination it's very undesirable.

Ah man this game is really badass have 2 achivements left to get but this game is really nice its a mix of skyrim and dragon age with its own tweeks. It does lack in a few places no real "fast travel" untill you beat the game the 1st time, cant make multiple saves, and mainly lack of difficulty.

The quests stuff kind pisses me off. Since it doesn't really track a lot of the things. Like, just a bit ago, I was trying to get a stone translated. I talked to two NPCs, and then the quest tracker just stopped showing up.

And these bandits are douchebags D: Most are easy, but then you get to the leader and can't stagger him. He kills yer pawns (I'm lv15 and my pawns are 15/15/17. Set up is Rouge, Warrior, Magex2.) Most of the time I'm running around reviving party members and spamming herbs. :< Might restart... See if I can just find level up spots or something.

quick tip for griding levels: don't have 3 pawns with you unless you really need to. With each pawn you have, xp gain is lowered. It's lowered further if the pawn is higher level than you aswell.

I had that problem at one point too but I just left the area and proceeded with the game... the path it leads you on lets you travel fairly well... at first this game is pretty hard especially when you first start running across ogres... Took me so long to kill my first one... until I threw it over the edge of the stairwell by accident lol...

from what I've heard about the game is that, the action / gameplay is really really good, some say best action / gameplay in an rpg ever, but it has ALOT of minor problems, but once you get thru those, its a really good game

I also do like challenging games sometimes, ( been playing dmc1-3 hd collection) >_>

skyrim to me has gotten so easy.... summon 2 deadra lords, and sit down like a boss is how I kill everything in the game..

I was really hoping the quests they were addidng as a part of their 10 set new DLC every week would be a bit better though... I bought the first two and all it had you do was go to certain locations and pick up badges... hoping that there is something to it by the time it gets to the tenth but yea pretty lame so far... otherwhise the game is great.

Yeah at the start bandits suck alot of deaths till you know how to fight them, but wait till you see Wight/Lich/Hellhounds oh lordy.

I would never put two mages in either... that early on I would use another fighter or warrior. Sorc too but those don't do a lot of damage til later... They're great for fighting cockatrices and such too because they're the only ones that can stop petrification...

Also, mages can only restore your health so much... it can only refill the part of your healthbar that is still grey. otherwhise you have to use potions/herbs or rest.

Your pawn is always with you right? Is it like a clone of your pawn that goes out and gets your prezzies and whatnot?

After reading wight/lich/hellhounds I am now determined to get this game and make my main and pawn modeled after Sam and Dean Winchester, but it won't fit so well if they get split up :(

Your pawn is always with you. You only get seperated if it gets knocked out. Then you just have to find a pawn stone and it gets summoned back. It is a clone that leaves and adventures with other players.

You can buy potions now to change their inclination. or just sit down and talk with them in that chair all the time...
