GMT is an absolute time reference, doesnt change with seasons, you currently in daylight saving timezone.
Oh good, it's only maintenance. I changed a bunch of security settings the other day when my Diablo 3 account got hacked and thought I made a boo-boo somewhere, lol.
Drag the contents of the zip into C:\Program Files (x86)\PlayOnline\SquareEnix and when you login it should only need to download 1-2 files then it will use the .tmp2 files to install the rest.
im downloading the files now, though its really slow, reminds me of my 56k modem times. prolly due to server congestions.
i am kind of amused though, about the time zone discussion. lol. in my 6 years and 9 months of FF11, i have known maybe 2 or 3 ppl aside me who couldt interpret GMT correct. when my event linkshells, back in the days, announced event times in GMT i always had to convert them, cause they were horribly wrong^^
