Best Use Of Unbridled Learning

So after several long years of meticulously leveling Blue Mage, I was finally able to reach 99 from 95 tonight. And while I had a good couple of weeks with Thunderbolt and Harden Shell, these new Unbridled Learning spells are still new to me. And being able to only use them once every 5 minutes, I was wondering what are some of the best uses for the spells?

I've had a few shots at some of the spells. Bloodrake seems quite nice, dealing about 1500-2000 damage, and recovering health equal to the damage dealt, Gates of Hades also deals nice damage and has a high-DoT Burn effect. Didn't see too much awesomeness from Bilgestorm, and not exactly sure on the others.

Also, I don't have Chant du Cygne yet (Almace on the back-burner until I catch up on other things), so any skillchain suggestions might want to leave that one out lol.

I'm fairly sure the "best" use of this ability is Bilgestorm paired with Efflux in fights that last for awhile, as it gives a pretty potent def down effect.
If fighting small mobs, like in dynamis, I'd just use Bloodrake as a handy DD spell to cure yourself at the same time.
But that's just me! I'm sure there are uses for some spells I have'nt concidered

Tourbillion (sp?) is my favorite spell by a long shot. The defense down is quite more potent than Bilge, and who really cares about the other stat downs :).

Approximately -33% Defense Down
Defense Down effect is incredibly inaccurate at the moment.

Bilgestorm:
Lowers Attack and Defense by approximately 25%.

I personally have'nt noticed Bilgestorms def down get resisted, and from a few people I've heard they prefer it to Tourbillion, but idk for sure!

I'll have to try using Tourbillion, then! It was the last spell I needed before I declared myself ready to break the final level cap for 99.

Any easy way to self-skillchain with it? (Not including CDC, of course)

It never lands.

I think Tourbillion requires TP to land like how Quadrastrike needs TP to crit? I've almost never seen Tourbillion's defense down NOT land when I use efflux before.
