Off-Limit Area In bastok Mines
Always wanted to go back there myself. Both places actually.
Can't be bothered to log in so just stole these two pics from wiki.
Tall mountain is here  which is J-7 on the map here, there is nothing back there that you can't see from just standing next to him.  Like others have said i'm pretty sure I have gotten that line from him before also. Actually if you look at the map you posted yourself you'd notice there's a an upside down T-intersection there but k.
Im pretty sure someone could clipper their way through and see if they can bypass the CS? unless it just bounces them back? iono
The ease of exploration moogles have been porting me in a few different places where they shouldnt end off.
Like in windurst popping up on top of boxes next to the star onion brigade. The 10 Anniversary Mini game that is currently going on for the new outfits, banquet table, the cake. completing all 30 Aspiring Adventurous mini quests will give Decential +1 gear and the moogle purse for the ammo slot (its the pouch that randomly gives gil once a RL day.) here's a walk through link for the mini game.
