Can still spend millions on it potentially getting light resist on a hades earring, so like evolith theres still "some" minute use for it
I tried once, after taking a good couple of hours to farm enough tabs to buy Elite Training 7, then run all over Ruaun to find the goddamn Field Parchment (which is nestled in a corner somewhere inconspicuous). Took .5 seconds to kill a monster that gave me -vit and ice resist. Realized how much of a waste of 3m that was and charged it to the game.

In case anyone is reading this in the future, we have a wiki.

You can convert copper vouchers for valor points (tabs) by the way.
Also my own info to add if anyone is interested in the FoV augment system.
When I was doing Hades earring +1 the augment resist values ranged from +11 to +15, sometimes two element types but most times just one. Many times, various + or - to main stats. Interesting augments seen so far are MEVA +2, EVA +5, RACC +1, Enmity +1, RATTK +3.
A Luna De Sol with +12 Dark Resist is my ultimate goal, but unfortunately Rapido only spawns every 3 days so far more limited.

Yep. Read the wiki and still couldn't find it for several minutes (because those locations just show the map square the parchment is in, without any context (near a wall, by bush etc)). So in case someone is reading this in the future, it's not like a visible NPC on a map like a Survival Guide, Hunt Registry, Planar Rift or Ethereal Junction, so it's incredibly difficult to find if you have never hunted them before. Most of them (like I mentioned) are literally nestled in the most inconspicuous corner of the map or near a wall not anywhere near someone would normally walk. It's literally tabbing around for several minutes looking for one if you haven't done it before.

Shame. I checked the list looking for "tabs" and didn't see it, so I went to Gustav Tunnel and farmed Turtles and Worms. Thanks for clearing it up.

We used to do a lot of these back in the days for 60 cap ballista (Byrnie +1, Scorpion Harness +1, Behemoth Mantle +1 etc), but I used Zitah for that one. Only interesting stuff I got was STR/AGI etc attributes, but the coolest thing I still have to this day is my Critical Hit Rate +1% Terra's Staff
I stopped doing this a while ago since it can only be done once a day and it got boring, but it can produce some interesting results on sub-75 gear, if for some reason you still use it.

You might wanna look at the ruaun gardens map a little more closely.

Today in sortie for Casket B1, I was able to replicate the issue.
Step 1: clear all of A normal objectives on foot (everything but boss)
Step 2: proceed to B on foot, passing through D fomor rooms shortcut, so I qualify for Chest B5
Step 3: go straight to bitzer+device and get Chest B2+B5, click both device and bitzer
Step 4: teleport down to basement F and do empy lockstyle clear, and come back to B
Step 5: step out and kill the entire fire elemental room. Most of my kills were sub 15s. I acquired Chest B3, but Casket B1 never spawned.
Step 6: Now for the test, leave back to bitzer b and teleport to d
Step 7: toss my wing for Chest d2
Step 8: warp back to b, respawn wing
Step 9: go back out and kill elementals
Step 10: kill 1 elemental slow, then 1 sub 15s, and Casket b1 spawned
This is making me think so.ething related to teleporting is necessary for Casket b1
I think it makes sense as a clever trick since the same wing has Chest b5, which aasks you to not teleport.
I expect anyone teleporting counts, so if people split up the condition always is satisfied so ppl don't notice
Did another test today, this time I ensured I teleported to D to toss my wing after step 4, and then teleported back to start my process of killing the fire elementals.
Got Casket B1 right away, straight up on my third kill, even my initial "charge up" first elemental was fast enough I guess to count.
So I'm pretty confident now you have to teleport at least once and effectively not be in a state to qualify for chest B5 to get Casket B2
If anyone else wants to test and confirm this I'd love to see others try it out, but overall Im just gonna do it in this order now as a precaution since it doesnt really impact my run time anyways if I go and toss my wing in D first anyways.

No clue what you're referring to, but since you're being cryptic instead of just saying it, whatever.

Try to guess where the books are, using these context clues.
I guess you teleported to get there? Because there's a book next to every home point that are nearly impossible to miss, plus one at the entrance, if you came from hall of gods

Idk, they could be behind any rock or bush.

Its definitely AA islands / entrance island. Its the only constant amongst all 6 highlighted squares. I dont even know what you're talking about.

I am not sure I ever said I had trouble finding the books, did I? Let me go back and check. I'm pretty sure I said "Field Parchment", which is not a "book", its a spot on the map you use to pop the NM for Elite Training.

Oh. So when I go to the wiki, it says this:
Quote: FoV: Elite Training
KI: Elite Training: Chapter 7 (H-9)
There is no spot on the Ru'Aun Gardens map at H-9 where the Field Parchment (NOT the Field Manual) is located. Do you know the difference? Have you done this content at all?
So yeah. Thanks for confirming you don't know wtf you're talking about. I figured as much, but tried to give you the benefit of the doubt, despite your pretentious attitude. Won't make that mistake again.
Pictures, since you enjoy being so helpful
Field MANUAL (a book)
Field PARCHMENT (not a book)

Neither does Maletaru.

(By the way, the field parchment amusingly is hidden in tall grass)
And instead of being mature and saying "Oh, I made a mistake, my bad..."

i swear I saw an addon that would make ??? and similar spots highly visible without targeting them but maybe it was a only a mock up, figure someone would have done it long ago if it were easy, like the glow from HELM spots

Probably can dat swap all the ???, but this one is not labeled as ???, so unless it uses the same dat id, you'd have to specifically find the blank spot dat for Field Parchments and adjust that. Even still, the Field Parchments in almost every zone I have checked are quite literally in corners, behind a tree, up on a hill by a mountain in Xarcabard, under a log, or somewhere nobody would bother checking. This one in Ru'Aun is behind the Zilart structure/under a tree sitting by the edge of the island. Not even FFXIclopedia has quality information on this content. Players getting into it for the first time will have to find these Parchments (though you can just use the Ru'Aun one for every piece of gear you want to augment).
It's been close to 15 years since I hunted these so my memory is hazy on all of the locations, so if Jakey makes a video about it, I am sure several people will get a little lost trying to figure it out at first
For those of you that visit Bg you already know the premise of this thread but for those that don't, it's simple.
