The addon doesn't work for ***anyway, only loads half the spells on my other char when running it. Doesn't even try and do it in the same order either.

I'm not sure if/how it works because obviously I don't use it, but...why would it matter if it loaded them in the same order? The whole point of using an addon to set your spells is so that you don't have to go into the menu to look at your spell sets. If it sets the spells then a human being would never go in there and SEE that the spells are set in a different order, and no human would ever have to interact with the spell menu anyway.

If it's not loading all the spells in the set for some reason that would obviously be a bigger problem. I wonder when/how this happens to you (BLU main, BLU sub, which zone, etc.). I have a few friends who use it and it seems to work fine for them 99% of the time. I've heard reports that it lags your game or possibly doesn't work at all in Ody, I think because of how shitty that zone is to begin with. I've never heard of it only setting a partial spell list though, that's new to me. Might be helpful to gather some testing and report the findings to the author, if you can consistently reproduce the bug.

Its not setting all the spells because your other char doesnt have all the spells available.

The addon does not set the spells exactly as they were when you saved them. Not that big a deal because you still have access to the spells and traits you set either way, but it's obnoxious trying to verify which set you're using when the order of the list changes.

I'm not much of a cheater who uses cheating programs, but if I were then I think I would do it a little bit differently...?

If you're not sure which spell set you have on, why not just equip the set you want? Surely there's no harm in typing //aset spellset bumbaKI2 , right? Other than the few seconds of lag while it equips the spells?

Either you had some other spells set, in which case it puts on the ones you wanted, or you already had that set on, in which case it puts on the ones you wanted.

IDK how long it takes or how debilitated you are while it's doing its thing, but...it really shouldn't be a big deal, right?

Sure seems like it would be faster than trying to manually search through your spells/traits to figure out which set you have on, especially if your sets are very similar to each other.

They do, I farm them together to make sure they are twinning. Sets the same spells each time and stops halfway at 53/78 points used up that the set uses.

The addon says it shows a timer so you can see when it is done but I see no timer either. The remove all spells also doesn't seem to work. Will try again after shutting down.

Maybe you made a typo or missed a spell while farming them, idk. Just relaying my experience with the issues you're describing.

try reloading the addon?

It sounds like you had azuresets loaded on both chars, made changes on charA and tried to implement them on CharB without reloading the addon. I believe settings get cached on load.

This sets your complete set within "few seconds" inside instanced content for you guys?

I don't use the addon so I can't fully explain how it works. Basically instead of removing all of your spells and adding each spell from your new set, this mode leaves any spells that were common and only replaces the spells that were different. Less steps so maybe less lag or better performance? YMMV

unload and reload

//aset spellset DD1

Depends how many spells it needs to swap out, if its a complete spell swap it can take about 30~45 seconds but if its just 3 or 5 spells its not too bad

I mentioned it in my comment but I have never used this so I have no idea what it does or how it affects the game, or how long it takes, except hearing from friends.

What instanced content are you in where you need to suddenly change sets? I thought most people use this BEFORE content to set their spells, not in the middle of content to change spell sets.

I guess it depends on your use case. Some of the other suggestions here might help it be more performant, but I'd say if it's lagging your game for a minute or two, just set your spells in advance. If it takes a long time then set the spells yourself, ya lazy ***.

No matter how many times I try it as either ClearFirst or PreserveTraits it always stops at the same spells. I'm in Rabao so no lag.

Edit: Ok apparently this char doesn't have Glutinous Dart when I was sure it did. Going to get it and try again.

Yeah that does work, thanks for the help everyone. I'm surprised it didn't just skip the spell and keep adding the rest.

If you go from AOE to DD spell lists you will need to change mid content. Common in Sortie for blu.

Also for tanks if you also play blu main.

Is it common for someone to be BLU in Sortie & also be switching strategies between AOE cleaving and DDing? Is this for solo runs? I'm not familiar with any meta strategy that involves bringing a BLU at all, much less one that involves switching back and forth between cleaving and boss killing. Is this for cleaving after you're finished with all the bosses...?

I'm sure it's possible and I'm sure some people are doing it, but I'm not convinced it's common.

I definitely change from BLU spell sets to PLD/BLU and RUN/BLU spell sets all the time, but I never do it in the middle of an event, I do it when I switch to PLD or BLU, usually in a mog house or next to the nomad moogle in Rabao or Mhaura, hence my question.

Yeah well some of us play blu then go on Run/blu and forget to set spells at the moogle 100% of the time.

Not everyone is an S tier hunk of beef cake top tier always on it never makes mistakes player.
