Random Question Thread (FFXI Related)

Has anyone used the Luzaf trust much? I think something might be funky with his Leaden Salute:

* 12:50 - Mordant Rime (Distortion/Frag) - No skillchain
* 12:56 - Leaden Salute from Luzaf (Gravitation/Transfixion) - Darkness
* 13:01 - Rudra's (Darkness/Distortion) - No skillchain

Has anyone see something similar?

So I am asking because I dont understand the implication

Does he do mordant ?
Do you do mordant and luzaf do nothing?

Or is the question his moves not making skill chains?

Luzaf is a COR, and he says he used Leaden Salute. It made an initial Darkness off of Byrth's Mordant, but he should have been able to follow up with a Rudra's Storm to double-darkness (Mordant > Leaden > Rudra's), and it did not.

Maybe Luzaf's Leaden has a unique property, not standard Leaden type

Is it possible you just missed the window by a hair?

No amount of weird properties will let it make a Lv2 darkness off Mordant Rime, so that had to be a Lv1 darkness, meaning you should've been able to extend it.

If you're able to reproduce it, I'd say report it as a bug.

The only thing I can think is that maybe I R0ed and actually Rudra's happened within 3 seconds of Leaden. Well, I'll keep an eye out.

I've noticed some trusts have odd timing on their SC windows.

ok so I have two characters both have everything on on effects filters...
one character has no additional effects happening during ws spell etc
the second this seems to mean nothing and they continue to display

is there an addon that could be overriding this?

Does it still happen when you load POL directly?

That is a good idea to test, I hate the login process so I was hoping to avoid it.

Can't believe no one has figured out a way to directly interact with pol login yet
