I've had this issue since beta, and everyone I talk to doesn't know why it does it or how to fix it.
Simply put, if I'm holding a movement key (like 8 on numpad to run forward) and then push SHIFT KEY, it will stop me dead in my tracks. This prevents me from shift+tab (to target mobs right to left) and shift+arrow (to change macro lines). It also does it whether I'm trying to run left, right, diagonal... direction is irrelevant.
One person mentioned that there are options to switch language input from keyboards via Windows, under 'Region & Language', all those settings are off, and nothing to do with shift is activated.
Sticky keys are off.
This is really annoying, and I've tried different keyboards and games. No matter what keyboard I use, it does this; and only for FFXIV, not for FFXI.
It seems like holding SHIFT makes the keyboard want to activate the arrows on the numpad, like if you SHIFT+6 gives you the ^^
Anyone have this issue at all or know anything that could be of use?
Thanks for reading!!
