I like the testimony change. Not very many people will need it (~5%?) but mistakes happen, and will save you some serious time just trying again instead of going back to farm another one.

Well, from the looks of it, they are going to adjust more than just those 3 quests. I'm sure most, if not all, quests will have some type of adjustment to make the process easier for new players coming up in the future, so it's not over yet I'm sure.

Well, back in the days you were going to farm testimonies with a party of people that equally wanted testy. Now you have to harrass someone in your linkshell, possibly a thf, to go farm one. There is a general lack of low level equipments like the phalanx shield or blink band that are very helpful for that fight.

And honestly, killing maat is no more an "achievement" like it was pre-cap lift, so imho this is a good change. new people have a lot to do to catch up. Less stress and maybe it will avoid some ragequit for people that choose blu as first job :D

I had it stored on my mule for a while too, gave it to new people too, same goes for the phalanx shield (i did maat on thf, and i refused to win stealing, silly me and my honor.) but then the exponential need of inventory space for new equipments prevailed.

I like the testimony change. But final LB fight? Come on, that ***'s easy enough already with the item.
And in my opinion, it should be some kind of achievement like I felt back when I killed Maat. If they just want a cockblock quest, make it "wait until JP midnight".

The personal achievement/satisfaction is still there as long as you don't use the item basically.

Yeah, but alone the option to have a "cheat" for it shouldn't be there, imo. You should work for your final LB, like you did with Maat. Granted, it was kind of annoying if you couldn't beat him, but you felt like you really accomplished anything. Now you can just say "*** it, let's get the item".

The difference between the final LB fight and Maat fight is that for the final fight you need a group to do it, so you are reliant on other people and it does not matter how good you are or how prepared you are for the fight, if you cannot find a party then you cannot do it. At least with the Maat fight you only relied on yourself.

Many people now cannot be bothered helping others with the fight now that they have done it themselves, and this can be very frustrating if you need to get it done.

I find it funny they believe LB quests need to be dumbed down, but nyzul is fine as it is.

First CoP... now this.... man, every time SE adds a little bit of challenge to the game, people *** and whine that it's too hard.

I personally never even saw wtf was the issue, every time I did it with LS or for friends, every run went off without a hitch, and we never once used the item. Never saw the need for it..

I guess it's only a matter of time before people whine and *** about Neo Nyzul and SE caves and increases the time inside there to 2 hours, "Ok guys, sorry for all the challenge, here's your free gear, Have fun!"

Maybe we should just make LVL, 99 Empyrean/Mythic/Relic items buyable for 10G each from an NPC in your home nation.

Sorry for the challenge guys, there's your free LVL 99 weapons + afterglows!

I mean, I went through CoP back in the day BEFORE all the nerfs, and I had a blast doing it. I did it with a LS static. I won't lie, there was a lot of death and a little annoyance at times, especially with Snoll BC(long live the Snow Tzar).

But when we finally hit home and wrecked Promathia the feeling of triumph that we beat it was even greater than rings we got as a reward. The rings were just a side bonus..

The point I'm trying to make is challenge in a video game is part of what makes a video game fun... stop trying to *** abolish it...

There's a difference between optional high-tier ***that requires a group to complete and things that are 100% required to progress through the game.

There's so much idiocy in this thread. Who cares if they make something easier that has no effect on you? I swear people complain just to see themselves complain.

It's all progression, doesn't matter if it's a limit break quest or an HNM fight. Content is content.

Yeah I really loved CoP battles and I did them all the time for people. You gotta admit though, it was kinda needed with the population of the game atm. Nobody does those missions and people would shout for hours.
