Yeah I triple box myself. Just make sure your PC can handle it (enough RAM, good CPU, etc.) Hehe I do get the occasional crash on Windower and finding which POL.exe process to end is a guess and some times I end the wrong one lol.

I find that the crashed process never varies in how much CPU its using, and it's generally more than the other processes (for my pc, 8-10 normally, as opposed to 17 when its crashed). It always works for me in choosing the right process to kill, but I don't know if your PC would be different -- might be worth a try.

Are people doing it? Everyone and their grandma has a mule now (some 3+) lol. I recommend getting XI-util and using sandbox as its pretty awesome for dual boxing. Make sure you don't update with the sandboxes open though.

If you have process explorer, you can just right click the process, hover over window and click bring to front and it'll show you which one it is.

Pretty useful for a number of other things, so if you want it you can download it here:

So I have 2 accounts on different SE accounts. I'm wanting to dual box but cant using the "official" game. How can I do this, for someone that's HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE with this whole thing. (I dual boxed on FFXI with windower, but to manipulate it for ffxiv, or if there is something else for ffxiv, I do not know how and the likes. I've tried google to search, but all the links that are given for ffxivwindowers are broken.)

There is no windower for XIV. There's something that resizes your window to make it the same size as your Desktop (giving the effect of a full screen game).

However, there's nothing similar to the Windower of XI (and if there is, it's been kept superquiet).

If someone was to start dualboxing; is there a program that would let you switch between screens with a controller button? I would like to start dual boxing my wife's character but alt tabbing seems a lil old fashioned... Any advice?

Correct ^
I posted that in the tech support section recently since I was looking for something similar.

I use an Xbox controller and mapped it to the 'back' button in the middle.

One press = Switches to other game screen/char.
Press again = Switches back to original character.

Just a simple download then install.
Once you start it up go to options, and click the gamepad tab at the top.

It'll say 'Switch Next' (unassigned), click on it and at bottom 'Assign' then press any button you want it to switch screens for you and finished!

You simply need to log in one account completely, then run another instance of windower and login the next account. Nothing special is needed.

You likely have it set to auto load your main character. There is a check box to uncheck for that on the menu to input your password.

After you get back to the member list you will need to add a new member for your other character. Otherwise you will have to use the guest entry every time.

No. Not well enough to justify not using Windower.

with virtuawin, you can swap between multiple desktops with key combinations. Similar enough to alt+tabbing
