After seeing this thread, and being thoroughly disappointed, I started thinking about what I would fill it in with. I don't think I could list 50.

I haven't played many games in my life, but anyway FFIX made me cry like a little girl. I think that's my favourite so far.

All 3 Uncharteds, all 3 God of Wars.. Each time I got to the end, I was happy with the ending, that's pretty rare for me. I felt the endings were fitting, and they were somehow very satisfactory for me.
Heroes over Europe had the same effect on me as well. Oh and Kingdom Hearts 2 and KH days.
I don't have a list of 5 at the moment. I know Legends of Dragoon would be on there easy.

2) Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (It's just sort of epic, as someone who's very interested in the lore of the game) 3) Red Dead Redemption (The real ending) 4) Metal Gear Solid 3 (Closest thing to getting me to cry in a video game ending ever, seeing someone like Solid Snake break down like that) 5) Final Fantasy X 6) Bioshock 7) Mass Effect 8) Mass Effect 2 9) Dead Space 2 10) Half-life 2 (in general really, the endings for all three installments are fantastic)

Metal gear solid 4 Resident evil 5 (if you're including the entire final chapter then sure) Persona 4 Persona 3 not in any particular order, and for lack of remembering which games I've played. Not really mentioning any final fantasy games since the ending of most of them were rather lack luster for how big the game was itself. i could put plenty, but for #1, The 3rd Birthday

New ones to be added as I think of them. Seeing all these Persona fans makes me more anxious to finish it and see if it makes my list. I'm literally playing through 3 for the first time as I type this.

My faves would probably be (in no particular order):
1) Ys Book I & II 2) Neo-Nectaris 3) The UFO endings on the Silent Hill series (particularly for Silent Hill 3) :p 4) Assault Suits Valken 5) Project Justice 6) Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri 7) Mechcommander 8) Shining in the Darkness 9) Gunhed 10) Guardian Heroes They aren't incredible endings by today's standards--I am just easily entertained. :p

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days Crisis Core (Even though I knew it was coming) Red Dead Redemption LoZ Skyward Sword LoZ Twilight Princess (both of these are pretty much for the same reasons, the epic standoff at the end followed by parting from Fi/Midna respectively) MGS3 MGS4 Some I will say here, I can't really recall the ending to MGS2 but I see people annoyed at it's lack of entry, also I'm probably gonna have to beat FFT one of these days, just kind of got stuck and never played it again.

I really enjoyed Bioshock II's ending more. The good ending, of course.
