Dont see why torrent them when you can download them directly
or get them off the psn for like 10 bucks ;o

from where? (and torrenting is typically faster, depending on the server)

and it's the pc version not the playstation version...

Get a PSX emulator and get the game from here.

(Link Removed)

Can be playing disc one in roughly 20 minutes.

also for those wishing to convert their saves from the playstation file format or to there's a cool program that I use that has the feature to convert between pc and playstation formats, works for ff7, ff8 and other games.

psxmemtool

need the installer and the runtime libraries.

(apparently I need to update I'm still on 1.17...)

I know one can extract the save from the ps3 or psp by copying the data to the pc and using a tool, I moved my psp data to ps3 first though.

Also one should be able to get the data on to the ps3 from the playstation memory card using the official memory card adapter, I couldn't find pc drivers for it though (looked last year).

you may be able to convert it back by the same tools you extracted it with, not sure.

(btw this comes in handy on ff8 with the chocobo world minigame as it's a program for the pc version of 8 and doesn't require the pocketstation) (also you can backup the file that chocoboworld writes to and ff8 reads/writes when you load the data into it and pretty much import infinite of the same items into 8 from chocoboworld.)

I'll rip my 8 discs later and see if chaos will be gracious enough.
