Ogier's, Rubeus, Athos's etc. are not even comparable to the rates of the aura bodies - they are significantly more common.
They're int he same "category" Ace's Mail / Dillaram's etc.
Was pretty smart on SE's part, seeing as they're sets. Entire sets of 0.5% drops would be absolutely absurd.

Wow, good for you, this has never happened before and is completely indicative of the average drop rate of the item.

My girlfriend is a seriously awesome mage who has Hekka's. I'm very happy about that. Her mannequin is a seriously terrible DD who has Ace's. I'm just a tiny bit sad about that one. She's gotten Lux two or three times. I haven't seen one. She has mantis eye. I don't have it. I'm happy for her, I'm happy for the others I've seen attain things (like the Coruscanti that a guy got the other night who, "can't even equip it"). I'm just waiting for my turn to be happy like that too!
All that said, for some reason I have pretty good luck with heavy metals, so we have made a good chunk of change off my attempts to catch up on gear that can't be purchased.
I guess that's balance.

My cousin got ogier helm 1/1 and mekira body somewhere like 1/10-20. dont remem. But he for the life of him cannot get houyi gorget for 5 hit drg lol.

I hope this ticket system helps. I get good stuff sometimes. Just stuff I can not use myself. Would be nice to trade it for something I want or to help someone out.

Wish they would make a storage slip for VW gear, but then you could obtain 2 things from VW. Happens with my dyna gear all the time -.-

Probably just my luck but I've seen more bodies off the turtle than bee spawns from the BR Rampart. This was even before the increased drop rates.
Even funnier than that is I went about 0/25 runs on of BR for usu 15 hands when I was 2/3 to finish it. lol

Building on what Josiah said tickets will only be available for Aura Weapons ( Borealis Ephemeron etc.) and for the glowing bodies like Mekira, Heka's and Mextli.
At the very first mention of the ticket system the Dev rep mentioned that they would prioritize ticket implementation for the most sought after items first with more to follow but there hasn't been any word if this is still the case. So for now items like Rubeus boots or Ganesha's Mala or Dillarlam's Sollerets will not have tickets.

I bring some news regarding the Voidwatch loot system, which I think you all will appreciate quite a bit.
The development team has been well aware of all of your frustrations when you friend hears you receive an item that they have been after for some time, but you are unable to pass it to them and have no choice but to toss it.
They have been looking into adjustments to the reward system extremely carefully to preserve the benefit of each person receiving a personal reward when participating, instead of having to lot against others. As a result, they are thinking about implementing the below type of system.
* In the event that a rare/ex item drops to you when you already possess the item, it will be possible to exchange that item for a ticket (name pending)
* Once you obtain a certain amount of these tickets, it will be possible to exchange them for their respective rare/ex item. (*edited at 3PM 2/2/2012)
*There will be different types of tickets for different items and you will need to collect the respective ticket for the item you would like.
*The required number of tickets is still being looked into and there is a possibility of change, but currently we estimate it to be about 5~6.
* Tickets will be tradable and sellable.
The development team feels that this will not destroy the meaning of having personal rewards, and though the drop rate balance will not be changed, even if you continue to have bad luck obtaining the item you wish, by collecting the tickets from your friends you will eventually be able to obtain the item.
Since there are a lot of rewards items, meaning a large amount of tickets to be created, we will start off by looking into implementing the hard to get items first. Please understand that it will take some time before this is all implemented.

You can do this anyways because you can send the gear within your POL account.

You can do this anyways because you can send the gear within your POL account. Lol yeah, but this way you could store it and get slips still. But if it is stored, it may not recognize you own it, like afv2.

Well this ticket systems seems great for ppl who are just having a hard time getting gear, But!!!! people are going to abuse it hard core I can see ticket prices for lets say Toci's harness prob 5-10mil per ticket and people will pay that. And you will need 5-6 tickets per item hope everyone has a good friend or six ^^

There's no way SE can make a system that can't be abused for profit in some way. Personally, I'm happy with having an option of being able to get help from friends or just buy it.

If people are willing to pay 5-10 mil a ticket, they are stupid. I would rather switch servers and buy neo nyzle gear.
Ok I know very little about VW, but my shell does is all the time and so far i have yet to get one body drop. So thats 0/36 at least. In 36 fights I've only seen 4 body drops. This means we are either doing something very wrong, or that SE has just finally just lost touch with reality all together.
The only thing I can think of is this: (I grabbed this from wiki)
There are five lights that enhance the spoils from the Riftworn Pyxis. Their alignment values can be enhanced to produce the following benefits per cell (up to 3 max):
■Blue: Quantity of drops +50% (150% max). (Affected by Cobalt Cell)
■Red: Quality of drops +50% (150% max). (Affected by Rubicund Cell)
■Yellow: Exp. Points Gained +25% (75% max). (Affected by Xanth Cell)
■Green: Cruor Gained +25% (75% max). (Affected by Jade Cell)
■White: Increases chances of Atmacite and Periapt obtainment.
Ok, so are we diluting the quality of our drops by bringing up our Cruor, Exp, and Ki alignments?
Like in Abyssea, if you want +1/+2 items you trigger yellow and kill. If you want armor or weapons etc you trigger blue and kill.
I havnt experimented with it but if you trigger both yellow and blue would you lower the drop rates of each item type?
It would be worth few stones to find out, hell its not like the plan is working all that well now. It seems like theres always someone posting how they have all the bodies and never traded any cells. even barring the liars out there, I've seen two such drops on pplz mules.
Just a thought.
