just wondering if anyone knows where to get a good and working ps2 emulator?
Get something else so we can get newer stuff for ffxi lol

again, the ps2 has nothing to do with the lack of new content for XI, learn technology.
Even if PS2 was the culprit, I don't get what a PS2 Emulator has to do with FFXI. If I'm playing PS2 games on an emulator, I'm clearly playing PS2 games on my PC. Any computer capable of running PCSX2 is capable of running FFXI, so the comment really made no sense.

it doesn't

what's funny is I am told that the ps2 emulator can almost do dmca, therefore soon (if not already) one could emulate a ps2 on the pc and play ffxi on the emulator, that'd just be funny.
This is is news to me lol. GO ps2 haha. But still...im sick of my gimp macroes w.o spellcast on xbox :/

ha

I have 10 invites to Underground Gamer if anyone wants. If your into retro gaming, this place has everything. Keep in mind this isn't a free leech site like Demonoid and you must keep up a certain ratio. They do have featured torrents which is not counted towards your ratio and is changed every week.

PS2 has been recently added to the list.

Right now they have free leech on all PS2 games. Still have 4 invites left if anyone wants.

It depends on the game. Some games may be playable but may need patches or older plugins to work properly. There is a compatibility list at the Pcsx2 website. Also if your cpu is slow, that could also be the problem.

Friend of mine has a P4 quad core 2.66 ghz. Dragon Quest VIII runs around 40-60 fps but when he plays Sakura Wars So Long My Love it runs extremely slow in battles like its in slow motion. My P4 dual core 3.66 ghz can run both games at full speed np. Pcsx2 only supports dual core so a 3.66 ghz dual core will run faster than a 3.0 ghz quad.

Send me a email and I'll send you a invite. Also I have 10 invites again so if anyone else wants just send me your email.

I'd have taken that offer up for ps2 games but there's only a few I want that I don't have and I don't have stable internet access that's fast enough to justify it. Short of when I stay with my gf...

I've played FFX-International for a little bit with it a few months back, was working well.

I used the PSX emulator of there's a lot and I find it to be great.

Wish they had a simpler configuration method though (I know it's a lot to ask for) but to get more people to use them it would be nice to have decent front-ends (maybe I just overlooked them).

Surprisingly FF X International runs at full speed even on a P4 2.66 ghz dual core. I do agree Pcsx2 isn't user friendly with all the plugins to choose from.

Although Pcsx2 has issues running the games properly, I enjoy the frame skip and the save state feature too much to use the actual PS2 system over emulation.

Games I have went through on the Pcsx2 with minor issues.

No, I don't have a ftp server. Yes save state is amazing and the only form of cheat I use. Got to love going to the casino with 10 coins on Dragon Quest VIII and get everything you want there. Playing poker and when you win just double up on high and low cards, load state if you pick wrong card.

One thing about using save states, use multiple save states and save in game occasionally. I have accidentally saved the game instead of loading it when I started a game and you have a save state of the title screen and lose all your progress...
