I've played FFX-International for a little bit with it a few months back, was working well.
I used the PSX emulator of there's a lot and I find it to be great.
Wish they had a simpler configuration method though (I know it's a lot to ask for) but to get more people to use them it would be nice to have decent front-ends (maybe I just overlooked them).
Surprisingly FF X International runs at full speed even on a P4 2.66 ghz dual core. I do agree Pcsx2 isn't user friendly with all the plugins to choose from.
Although Pcsx2 has issues running the games properly, I enjoy the frame skip and the save state feature too much to use the actual PS2 system over emulation.
Games I have went through on the Pcsx2 with minor issues.
