I don't know why but seal farming slowed to a dead stop for me for a while there. Was stuck at 8/10 body seals for a long time, finally got my +1 today and thanks to my new LS I'm already 1/2 through my +2 mats. Woot! And so begins the long and painful road to becoming a badass dnc.

I think I'd rather spam Qilin for the rest of my life than do fire dagger twice.
Especially considering I'm making a sword. Ya that was some BS lol. Did a trial completed on each fire day(except flans....had 4 left -.-) and got no fire weather whatsoever, and then to top it off, geodes 50k x 45 lol...

Quote: Semi related...but ive recently switched to doing all DC mobs in dynamis quifim....and it hasnt been fun since ive died at least once on every run ; ; Dc snolls are the easiest as long as i spam VF. Rocs/gaylas are ok as well as raptors...but the problem is the areas are not that safe and it is easy to link....which for me it means that i go from 100000 evasion to -10 with just one extra mob.
I know this sounds strange, but I found doing the Stirges > Diremites > Gaylas in the tunnel are actually easier on the links then the raptors and whatnot outside. I would have expected it to be a bit different, considering it is more cramped, but that is my preferred DC run in Qufim.

CCL claims set bonus is:
1 - nothing
2 - +2 stat
3 - +4 stat
4 - +10 stat
5 - +? stat
I look at it like this for a WS set:
Thaumas legs: 9 STR/AGI, 14 Acc/Atk
Thaumas feet: 10 DEX/AGI, 2 STR, 14 Atk, 3% DA
Thaumas hands: 10 DEX/AGI, 2 STR, 9 Acc
Thaumas head: 20 AGI, 10 STR, 4 DEX, 4% Crit rate
Thaumas body: ?STR/DEX/AGI, 12 Acc, 3% DA, 3% TA, 3% QA
If the growth continues, I would expect the next piece to be +16~+20, the upper end of which would make Thaumas body the best for Exenterator. SE may have actually made a set that we want to use all of at once.

Observations:
1.) Thew Bomblet > Potestas
2.) Ocelomeh +1 ~ Cuahtuli+1 before the set bonus with Toci's, so O+1 is the clear winner.
3.) If Saber Dance is up, Etoile+2 (A) become the best WS pants barring Neo-Nyzul gear.
4.) I'm not ready to consider Neo-Nyzul gear for standard sets, at this point.

I think you're evaluating this against fodder mobs with buffs or something, because you're valuing attack near 0.

Versus Qilin assuming standard VW buffs (Berserk + Stalwarts), (1.) and (2.) still appear to be true.
Seems like (3.) stays true, as well.

This is the best I can get it to do.
Ocelomeh+1 still edges out Cuahutli+1, but Potestas is the clear winner.
Etoile+2 edges out Tumbler slightly.
Really though, we're talking 2-3 points of damage in all of these cases (except potestas which is like 5!)

Thaumas gear obviously blows a lot of our current stuff out of the water, though. I'd imagine that full Thaumas is probably going to be the way to go for PK, too.

Eh! I'm not sure for PK.
Thaumas Hat - STR+6 :: Worse than 7 STR/DEX and 6 Attack, so if you prefer 13 DEX to that then this is terrible.
Thaumas Gloves - 8 DEX :: Loses to 7 STR/DEX by quite a bit
Thaumas Kecks - Easy in, STR+9, Acc/Atk+14 :: Excellent, useable.
Thaumas Nails - 9 DEX, 14 Atk, 3% DA :: Better than Kacura +1, so worth using on its own
Thaumas Coat - 3% DA/TA/QA :: On its own, I can't see this beating Toci's at all.
Now, 2 pieces puts us at 2/5, so we're getting +2. 3 pieces would put us at 3/5, so we'd get +5. Are Hat/Gloves/Coat 3 STR and DEX away from being better than our current pieces? I don't think they are.
Eh, actually gloves kind of are. And then +5 from the next step would make hat worthwhile. Assuming the final step is also +5, body miiight edge out Toci's but I still doubt it.

"SET 3" HEAD +1
DEF:35 STR+12 DEX+12 Accuracy+13 Waltz Potency+8%
LV99 MNK THF RNG NIN BLU COR DNC
"SET 3" LEGS +1 rare/ex
DEF:49 STR+12 DEX+12 Attack+10 Evasion+5 Subtle Blow+8
LV99 MNK THF RNG NIN BLU COR DNC

interesting fact though possibly pointless: when using an angon thokcha if the affect procs on a multi hit the rest of the hits proc as well
ie:
if the first hit of a triple attack proc, the rest of the hits proc, if the 2nd hit proc then 2nd qand 3 hits proc.

That's the most useless thing they could possibly program. possibly, it's only on crab trials but i've noticed that it will not proc again until it runs out. once it get it to a higher level i can check to see if the effects stack easier. IF it does, that would be an interesting exploit.

That sounds vaguely familiar. Like how SA + 8-hit KC will make all 8 hits crit?
Too bad it doesn't work that way in Coruscanti for whatever reason they have.
Of course, come Monday, if these stats remain:
"SET 3" HEAD +1
DEF:35 STR+12 DEX+12 Accuracy+13 Waltz Potency+8%
LV99 MNK THF RNG NIN BLU COR DNC

HMMM. The legs is good but... it's a tough choice for Athos's hands + legs set combo
I'm working to get this all updated and stuff, until then, read what's already here!
Current sets on pages 83-84.
In general, check the last few pages of the thread, as the most updated information will be there.
