Also, because most of the gear you'll get is gotten from Abyssea, unless you can leech it all you have to devote time to getting the dozens of key items to make you powerful in Abyssea zones, stuff that will double your HP and give incredible boosts to attributes. This will take months. And when you're starting out, you have very limited time in Abyssea, which will be frustrating. This is very true, if possible you'll want to try to find people to do it with. It will be difficult starting out.

Your forgetting that their is a Prouesse Ring and a Terminus Earring that increases combat skill gain from gold chest. But yes they do suck for one to show lol.

The inv thing sounds a little better, I wish they'd fix the furnature storage. Same with equipped items. Like, once you put it on it doesn't still count for an inv space

Putting stuff in porter moogle removes it's rights from being in your inventory. But whatever you do. Don't drop the Moogle slip or it's gone forever.

Someone in my ls yesterday was offering hagun to anyone who wanted it, else was going to npc it. Yeah, things have changed. Also, literally you cannot toss your Moogle Storage Slip as long as you have least 1 item stored with it.

Thought I read that somewhere...

The relic Scythe lvl 99 has base dmg of like, 164 or something iirc. It's silly compared to 2 years ago.

Hmmm last time I talked to moogle he said that if I dropped the slip. The gear will no longer be obtainable.

First things first, start accruing Abyssea and Voidwatch Stones, talk to the respective npc dudes.

You will have fat chances to get in abyssea partys unless your 75+ or a friend gets you in to leech. So Grounds of Valor partys are your answer.

Chronos, did you do ANY abyssea before you quit? You should of had some stones before you quit if you did.
If you did you "should" have like 600 stones or something.

Nope, didn't even get the expansions tbh. I grinded from 75-80 THF on shitty vultures and then quit since I didn't feel like paying for 3 expansions lol

Get the abyssea quest activate so you can start obtaining a few stones to have enough time to hang around in Abyssea to have Time Extensions coming in. So while waiting for stones to build up. I join GOV partys.

Then i highly suggest you run to the corresponding NPCs and start collecting stonse for VW and abyssea seeing as w/o any abyssites, you get one 30min stone every 20hours
EDIT Beaten by a mere 14seconds! And with more spelling errors :(

Alexander.Chronos said: »So every so many rl hours I can get more play time inside abysea? Yes, and with each KI (forgot the name) it is reduced by like 4 hours. I think?
Also there are KI's that add additional time to each stone you use.
Ahoy, so I'm not one for the forums but I've played FF from the NA release until late 2009ish and I'm thinking about returning once my new CC comes in the mail. As you can imagine, a lot has changed since I left... (85 cap was shortly on its way when I decided to quit and abyssia was just being announced) So I'm going to need to be informed on a few things if anyone could spare the time. First off, do you still gain like 200 exp with a band effect on even at chain 200? That seems a little harsh for a 99 cap since 42k when I played took almost an entire day depending on the party. Also, what is abyssia, void watch etc? I know OF it just not the details on how it works and what makes it different from the normal game world. Also a new fishing system? I used to love fishing. And lastly (sorry to be a bother) but I played on the Alexander server, which apparently was wiped or something? If I need to choose a new server does anyone have any suggestions? :]
I'm sorry if that didn't make much sense I'm posting from a portable device so it's hard to read back what I've written very well.
TL;DR
What's new in XI since 80 cap and how do things work now?
Thank you
