These gobbies are far too fussy. He wouldn't take a Rare blm spell scroll. He wouldn't take a Wurger from Passhow brown chests but he would take a Bloody Robe and a Yagudo Holy Water. So they seem to like quest items more than gear or consumables.
Tsk. Ingrates! Has anyone else noticed that the peek possibilities change every game day? I wonder if the game day determines which items it's even possible to receive from the goblin.

- An issue wherein the Daily Tally cap is not resetting every Earth day at 12:00 a.m. (JST) for the Gobbie Mystery Box. One of the problems <.< which is probably what is happening to us Just noticed that, couldn't make a ninja edit quick enough =\. Oh well, that explains the problem then and it probably won't be fixed for another few weeks.
Meh had sompe points left and got a slime oil. Reading some of the posts just seems like a good way to trade crap you'd drop for even crappier items to npc for 2 gil.

Seems more like an ongoing Bonanza to me. Guy on BG got a Novio from it, in addition to the Nidhogg pop in this thread, there's very little reason not to at least use your automatically granted points when you remember to. Personally all I've gotten are some meds n' foods, but stuff like Hedgehog Pie and Tavnazian Salad that weren't exactly throwaway. Could be an intentional stab at supply/demand problems by SE. Truly good rewards may be few and far between...but given enough time and participation, the total rewards for a server could keep rare item prices in check/etc, much like Bonanza can tend to do with lower tier items. Pot-Au-Feu (or however it's spelled) did a peek before and had a chance at a novio. From what I've seen the gob has only mentioned Novio on Lightsday. I'm trying to figure out if certain items are day specific or if he just mentions those items on those days, but gives out any item he wants.
I think you guys are reading into the peeking thing a bit too much...He just tells you some of the possible rewards. Whether you peek or not, you're getting items from the same massive pool.
I tested it for like 10 hours today. The items he mentions are based on the game day, but that's all I know.
Being Darksday I would wager that if you went to a goblin and peeked quite a few times that you would get a mixture of HQ King pops, Sea pops, and Pandemonium Warden pops. I can clearly see a pattern in what he mentions, but I lack any evidence saying that he only gives out certain items on certain days. I could be totally wrong, but If something could be possible I don't see why it shouldn't be tested.
Also, tomorrow(Firesday) is going to be Pellet pop items, Erase and Refresh scrolls, and Moldy bucklers.  I think this could be referring the NPC Bat exploit that was being discussed on the BG forums. I haven't seen anyone refer to this moogle, or post a SS of the dialogue, so I figured I would to make people aware NOT to mess with the NPC Bats/AllSeeingEye in that area. So what happens if you actually attack the NPC bats that show up?
The guy who initially posted about it said he killed them and got some strange item. I haven't looked at the thread in a day or so.
