I have two monitors that are two different sizes. Is there any way I can launch Windower full screen on each monitor? I hate windowed mode with the borders and what not. Thanks!

Use the Windower GUI and set X and Y to whatever your full screen is (can be found in Display settings). This would have to be done for both, so you'll have two different GUI settings.

I have the pc set to open anything on my right monitor, SLI focused there (not like it matters in ffx) through nvidia control panel. When I launch my main I set it to full screen res and hidden border. My mule launches in i think 1024x768 with border and I just slide it to my left monitor on launch. I do not believe there is a way to tell FFXI to open on the non-primary monitor, so, if you want to play with two full size windows, I'm not sure how. Two non fullscreened chars is easy, just move the windows where you want them.

I use 2 monitors, both with windower, same computer. Open once, drag to opposing screen and open the other instance and leave it on the first screen. I keep them both in full screen mode. Research from my iPhone, or the other pc I don't use to play on. (afraid of keyloggers on research pc)

I understand if you have borders on them but I can't stand having a border. How can you move the full screen windows around?

1st off I never understood why people used FFXIAH for help with windows related issues.

But here we go.
Copy windower into 2 different folders.

1st Windower
Setup all your plugin you want because the screen are different sizes. So everything is where you want it to be.

2nd windower. Change setting to 2nd display X and Y size
Use http://forums.windower.net/topic/19468-windower-plugins-wincontrol/
Setup in your init file to move the window to the 2nd display.
now setup where you want all your plugin to be on the 2nd display. With 2 windower folders it keeps all the pos setting in different folders. Only thing you need to do is fully log into FFXI before launching the 2nd windower.

Wincontrol lets you move without borders.

I use some plug in that I have to set pos for to have them where I want them. IE recast is in my chat log, on the far right side. Playing at 1080p there is a lot of chat window not used. Luckly I play on 2 different 1080p displays so I don't have to move my plugins around but I still have 2 different windower folder so I don't have to type the wincontrol move 1980 0

Thank you, I will try this.

My reason for asking FFXIAH instead of on the Windower forums is because the Windower forums aren't as populated, thus your question is not answered as quickly.

You could just use the command window_toggleframe move the window then type it again to disable borders I think.

This topic is basically the same thing you're asking I think: http://www.ffxiah.com/forum/topic/12619/windower-issue-launcher-resolution-etc/

Ahh, well I never really looked to see the "borders" I just thought this wasn't negotiable. I don't notice them if they are there really. But I see what you're talking about. Like the movie player option has a "Full Screen" version that is borderless. Good luck with it though :)

Would it still not in theory work?

Create 2 profiles for windower to match your windows and just adjust what they said to yours.

I've always used the WinControl plugin.

Download plugin as usual, then you can move and resize the window from the console.

wincontrol move X Y (where X and Y are absolute co-ordinates)

wincontrol resize X Y (where X and Y are your desired resolution)

Say you have two 1920x1080 monitors, you would have your first window at 0 0 and your second at 1920 0.

Hope this helps

Ok so I've gotten the results that I wanted; two instances of the game on two different screens with no border. I followed the advice of Kewitt. Cath, your version works very well BUT with Kewitt's advice I can have two different icons for two different instances of windower, since they have different ini.txt files. In the second instance of init.txt I have "load wincontrol" and then "wincontrol move 1440 900".

My first and main monitor is 1440, 900. My secondary is 1600,900. The 1440 is of better quality though, so I use it over the slightly bigger one.

Thanks guys! You all helped a ton. Hopefully others that have this issue might find help with this as well.
