Just leveled up bst, got it to 86 and wanted to go try dynamis for the first time. needless to say, I wasted my time because I'm not very sure how to pull the statues w/o getting my pet raped by the surrounding mobs. Just looking for some friendly advice on how to "do it right".

Without wasting alot of time waiting for it to be clear just use sheep. If u get links just keep it fighing the te till it dies and use leave. The links wont attk u as long at u dont use fight on them.

Do sandy, dunes or mabye bastok, bastok can be a little hard for te's since they tend to have alot of links around them. On my server dunes usually has the most ppl.

Just did the dunes for the first time and couldn't find TE-5 to save my life. Searched back n forth over the area on the TE map, killed several stats, and couldn't get it
Since the update*

The roaming TE stat in the CoP zones is always near one of the other stats. There are usually only 2 statues per beastmen type. Once you find these two statues, and see no TE, move on to the next beastmen group. Never failed me.

It's best to just use cheap jug like the sheep and let it get owned. Aim towards getting CoP dyna access. It's a lot better

a lot of TE are indeed annoying because of the beastman links. couple of things i do to make it a bit easier:

1) use cheap pet, chances are good it will die or you will hit leave in a few seconds because of the 5+ links
2) hit your Fight macro every second that its up. as you probably know, pets get distracted and start engaging anything that attacks them. this ensures you are hitting the TE and not some orc.
3) if it looks like a really precarious pull don't be afraid to use Run Wild
4) in some situations, you can hit Heel after TE is dead, and while running to the next TE sometimes you will lose the links. obviously not feasible in jeuno ; ;

Sorry if my experiences on these TEs is not fit for the forum, when I had posted I has clicked it from the front page, I didn't realize I was posting in a Beastmaster forum section, never the less with dismiss you should be able to shake any aggro from mobs that do not have pets in the cities. Again take caution with the ones that I had mentioned that could potentially end your farm fairly quickly.

Sandy -

TE1- Gonna probably get aggro here from the PLD RDM guarding it, if you're unlucky the bottom will aggro and cause you some issues, I usually go in with 3 and this has yet to cause any issues that couldn't be handled, if we aggro the bottom, the person who aggro's runs to the enterance of dynamis and just dies after the TE is dead.

TE2 - Same as above, but a little easier to work with, pull the statue and huddle in the corner, you'll avoid aggro at the bottom of the stairs and if you do aggro the PLD or RDM it's not that bad.

TE3 - Very easy pull just have patience and wait for the mobs to move.

TE4 - A tricky TE that can be either a very easy pull down into the bottom of the crafting guild or on either far end of the high rise outside, you can aggro the mobs at the bottom if you are not careful if you choose to fight the statue outside at either end of the high rise.

TE5 - Very easy, wait for the statue to be in a safe position can pull in the middle corridor or down near the entrance where you come in from the back alley, alternatively it can spawn near the second entrance closest to the leather crafting guild.

Bastok -

TE1 - Very simple, just kill

TE2 - Very simple, you can aggro some of the mobs on the ramp if it's in a bad position, remember they aggro sound so pulling may be a bit trickey.

TE3 - Usually a sacrifice kill, hopfully your WHM is /BLM or the person that threw themselves at it has full twilight.

TE4 - The only issue here is Cannonball he's very inaccurate and is pretty pathetic to kill.

TE5 - Same as TE3, there is a possibility that you can kill it without aggroing the entire world, but it's very slim.

Windurst -

TE1 - Clear out the little circle area before engaging.

TE2&3 - Just kill

TE4 - I suggest having a THF sac pull all the mobs around leaving you with a very easy kill, other wise you're going to have a difficult time juggling 2 Avatars, 2 Yagudo and a very high risk of aggroing the mobs right above the TE.

TE5 - Clear the bridge and when the best oppertunity to pull the statue is available to you, go for it, I've had full clean pulls on this, and I've also aggro'd every single mob in the small area, it's about a 75/25 chance that you will aggro everything, if you do best to let the person who pulled it die after the TE is dead.

Beaucidine -

TE1 - Theres some risk that you'll aggro a good number of goblins but they go down fairly easily.

TE2 - Only issue is not aggroing the VT-T Fomors, they take forever to kill!

TE3,TE4 - Pretty simple TEs to kill, they don't have a whole lot guarding them infact TE4 is left completly wide open

TE5 - it spawns in funny locations that could leave you with a BRD or a DRG whaling on you while you kill the TE, nothing to threatening.

Xarcabard -

They're all easy and left unguarded, probably why it's the most popular farm for Solo / Duos

Buburimu - Valkurm - Qufim - Tavnazia

You're just going to have to time your pulls accordingly, as for the 5th TE that moves around the zone, it helps to split the locations between two people if you're going in duo, wide scan also helps if one of you are BST and should probably take the more spread out area where the 5th TEs are.

Tried out Beaucidine for the first time solo and it actually went rather well. I used Tiger for TE kills which did indeed go alot faster than sending NN. One thing to note is that the last TE i got was a Rearguard Eye. I was looking all over the place where the TE was marked but no one put in that it was an Eye. Only got agro with the gob statue the rest was just biding my time and sending my pet in for the attack.

Just to clarify, the 5th TE in CoP wanders the zone, right? Does it have a specific name or can it be any of the previous 4.

Any of the statues that are named as the TE statues. The 1 in Buburimu spawns in the other beastmen camps (There are actually 2 camps of beastmen of the same race.) then the one's where the 10 min TE spawn.

At first when i started dyna on bst i took astragalos w/ me so i could /range mobs w/o the leg work between /fight~~~/heel to avoid aggro. Honestly now though i just toss dipper out there and kill w/e i get up to 6-7 mobs usually can get rough but that's what twilight is for!

Same concept for TE's if you're not out there just for time concerned currency farming, but also Relics, you should be able to keep your pet alive and kill whatever links generally speaking.

If you're having trouble remembering the names of which statue is the TE then just /check them. TE statue checks 'Impossible to Gauge' while the others are 'Easy Prey'.

last 2 trips to dynamis valkrum on the 5th TE its always been the Warchief Tombstone. Is it just dumb luck or do all of those TE statues spawn on the left side of the map?

The 5th TE spawns on the left side yes, as shown on that map.
