GTFO Fouluryu, there are millions of threads like this on the official forums, don't bring this "I won't pay" crap over here to pro... The game has been free for a year and SE has sunk ALOT of money into FFXIV, which was a HUGE risk! The dev team is working extreamly hard to make this game great, and they can't do it for free... so stop free-loading, get a job and/or a life, and pay up!

^This plain and simple.

If you think its such a colossal failure, why are you still playing? Do all these people who continue to play and (will) pay a favor and just move onto something you enjoy. Your "feedback" is no longer needed if you have no interest in furthering development.

Your level of concern over the state of the game, and your lacking ability to simply leave it for another, or quit and come back after 2.0, is sending some very mixed signals.

I don't see anyone trying to convince you to stay.
BTW, the whole "you're paying for a beta" thing is seriously played out. Find something else to use. I don't even care if its a legit reason, just...use something else.

I will definitely be paying and yes the whole not paying for a beta argument is nonsense anymore. Just a bunch of disgruntled trolls who preached the end of 14 over the last year and now that this isn't happening they want to get one more whine in.

.. and who gives a rats as* about reviews from some jackoff almost a year later. I knew the game sucked when it came out and I was worried what would happen with the game but I am able to make up my own damn mind and now that's going to pay off.

This game has so much promise now, it has a growing future that can only get better! There is no way I'm going to quit when 2.0 is just around the corner, and I gotta find out about this "meteor" & "phenomenon" that will change the the lands of Eorzea and reshape the new world! (only loyal players who stick with the game will get to experience it too!)

There are thousands of people against the billing or want a reducing billing. Money doesn't come cheap, so welcome to the economy 2011. So, good luck arguing with them. They have my support.

Also the people who don't pay are not going to make/break this game, they will only further it's community into a supportive roll by removing the QQ trolls and newfag haters. Viva la 2.0 i say and goodbye to you failures.

You have two majorities on both sides with facts and knowledge on how business works and how items should be sold to the gaming community.

Sure, SE are redeeming themselves with the game but 2.0 is long road before that ever happens. It's just amazes me how people will blindly support SE even the though the mistakes they have made down the road.

i don't believe there was a comeatmebro or a comparison between you or myself so I don't know where you're pulling any e-thuggery from. there is a difference between blindly fanboy following a company and supporting their vision for rebuilding something amazing. EVERYTHING yoshi and the new dev team has done since May has pushed this game up further towards being a great next gen MMO and I have no reason not to trust their roadmap to 2.0. It is worth paying $150.00 over a years span. It is worth paying $300.00 over a years span.

The bottom line comes down to this: if you and the 1,000 other negative naysaying trolls like you don't pay for this game - it will only help it in the long run. If you do end up paying for it and continue to QQ and whine - then you will have no excuse as to why you're here and you will get ***on from every angle.

I won't pay for it yet. Not until afew of the new updates "jobs" get implimented, until then, ffxi.

I will admit the free trial was nice. If you purchased the game at its release then you had expectations and one expectation was to pay for service provided because this game is a service. Now SE has changed their policy somewhat! They are taking advice and listening. Now is not the time to hammer them, they gave us an inch you can't make a mile. They are not indentured servants and here is my advice. Stop playing as you will. They already said it will be free again in the future. So when it does become free again give it another shot (hopefully your expectations will be satisfied by then and late next year you will be open to paying as this games intent is to be a pay to play game) or don't but regardless it is at the point where square needs revenue to support the project, it's not like they are calling in a vacation.

i cant wait to pay for this game! its well worth it. people who cry should go play WoW or whatever makes them feel like a winner. they should just stick to free games with they broke ***! thats the main reason why they dont want to pay for the game lmao.

People like you will throw any money out there just find an alternative to FFXIV. Where do you come off to assume people are broke? We're not stupid to pay for beta construction game. I didn't say the game sucks.

You'd be a fool to not pay for this game. No other MMO is doing what XIV is doing right now. Changing everything in real time. Content that will only be able to be experienced once and never again. That's pretty amazing.

Is it complete? No. Are they improving daily? Yes. Will I be paying when they begin billing? Definitely. I would pay today. Considering how much time I currently spend on the game and how entertaining it is, I have no problem financially supporting future content.

Lol seriously, can't believe this thread isn't dead yet. Pay or don't pay, you can say you won't that's your own problem, but point is if you want to play, you have to pay. It's not debatable. :3
