I just got a light earring with Crit. Hit Rate +1%, and I was wondering how this would compare to other earring choices. For dual-wielding jobs, Suppa. is the best hands down, but for other jobs like 2-handers and MNK, would this be able to pull ahead? (Brutal is the other earring of course in all situations for hopefully obvious reasons).
Here are the best alternatives that I can think of: (Excluding moonshade earring.)
Dual-Wielders: THF, NIN, BLU, DNC, I am putting PLD here because Suppa. is pretty good for DD, (RDM, WHM, and BRD as well I guess)
Should all be using suppanomimi.
2-Handers:
WAR - ravager's earring, centaurus earring, Attila's earring (if needed for a hit-build)
DRK - bale earring, Attila's earring (if needed for a hit-build)
SAM - centaurus earring, unkai mimikazari (if needed for a hit-build)
DRG - dragonkin earring
H2H:
MNK - bruiser's earring (if have faith torque to reach next tier), aesir ear pendant
Dem Crazy Pet Jobs: BST, PUP
I don't know enough about them to consider what is important for their ears.
Those shooty types: RNG, COR
I am not an expert of Ranged Attacks.
Other: SMN, BLM, SCH
...If you want to melee for stuff or what not, then you can prob figure out stuff to wear on your own.
I see DRK being fairly comfortable with Bale Earring, but I was wondering how Crit +1 would compare against Attack +7 for MNK and DRG. Usefulness for other jobs (i.e. WAR and SAM) would be nice to know as well. Finally, how would Crit +1% compare to all of these inside vs. outside of Abyssea?
