They'll probably have to fix it, the same way they fixed the Relic trials when they realized that Thousands of WS killshots were a bit too much to ask off people who had already endured extended stays in Dyna.
The thing is, relic owners had already worked for their weapons by that point, thousands of weaponskill killshots were unfair by the time they'd done currency/attestations/fragments, easier trials after that point are completely justified. Problem is, each of the trials adds little to a relic in terms of equalizing them with empyreans. The most recent boost was great for some weapons with the increase to the proc rate on additional damage, but they definitely need more done to them.
Empyreans are the exact opposite. They start laughably easy to make and now seem to be shifting toward being incredibly difficult to upgrade. This would be acceptable if relics were getting stronger to be comparable with empyrean weapons and empyreans were still getting worthwhile boosts but becoming harder to upgrade.
This, however, is not the case. They made the mistake of making Empyreans too easy to get from the get go. I can't think of many ways that they can make it fair at this point besides making Mythics/Relics easier to get from the start.

I totally agree. As I said htough, I believe it takes different tries to fix certain errors in the game, especially if it means having to go mess with things that used to be acknowleged as the best item for the job.
With Abyssea they switched to a completely different gamestyle, one that is more relaxed, less timetaking but still very rewarding and fairly enjoyable. The reasons for this switch are enbedded in the game's age and all the factors that come with it, plus the fact that they constantly have to deal with us customers, who don't necessarily have the same opinion about how things should go.
That's where you hear from oldschool relic owners complaining about relic weapons being too easy, yet gimp in performance, mythic wannabees complaining about how insane it is to get alexanxrite, and empyrean owners who want to keep their top notch status with the light efforts it took them to obtain it.
Given all these different opinions, it becomes hard to make everyone happy, so I believe the only solution is to make everything about as easy/hard as the rest.
Ideally, we will come to a point where a specific job will know whether a Relic, Mythic or Emp will be his top weapon and be able to go for it with fair ease, as opposed to the current situation where -- aside from a few exceptions here and there -- Emps > All

I can't think of many ways that they can make it fair at this point besides making Mythics/Relics easier to get from the start. To be fair the Dynamis updates have done just that, especially the most recent update. A lot of 95 relics are equal to or better than their 90 empyrean counterparts, and if Empyreans didn't get a hidden boost at 95 that holds for the upgraded versions too. Some relics are still behind, but the situation in terms of both power and time to obtain has certainly shifted favorably in relics' favor.

Also, in the US daylight savings time was started in World War II and has something to do with farmers. But what with Hitler and Polio being a huge problem still it makes sense to keep it around.
Here in England we put our clocks forward 1 hour in March and back 1 hour in October ( BST/GMT) What job is GMT? :3

...so they buffed the damage staves from what they were on the test server?
What was their thought process behind this?
"Alright guys, we realized that adding +1 to STR on your shamshir and then giving mages 5% more damage from affinity was kinda lame, so we're going to adjust things a little."
"Cool thanks guys"
"LOL J/K *** WE BUFFIN DAT ***, HAVE SOME ACCURACY MAGES"

People complained about staves removal of macc, it was retained. People didn't complain about 1STR and it was maintained.

They didn't? You're telling me no one complained about 40 geodes for +1 to a stat? Hm. <_<
At the following time, we will be performing emergency maintenance on FINAL FANTASY XI. During this period, FINAL FANTASY XI will be unavailable.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding.
[Date & Time]
Oct. 4, 2011 from 10:00 to 11:30 (PDT)
* Maintenance completion time may be subject to change.
[Affected Service]
FINAL FANTASY XI
* The World Transfer Service will be unavailable starting 30 minutes before the maintenance.
* The Character Reactivation Service will also be unavailable starting 30 minutes before the maintenance.
* Maintenance operations will delete any reservations for Pankration matches and Maze Tabulae registered to NPC Duplidoc for Moblin Maze Mongers. To those players who are scheduled to participate in Pankration matches, those who will enter Assault, Salvage or Einherjar areas, or those who will participate in Dynamis or Limbus at the time of the maintenance, we ask that you please wait until maintenance is complete before engaging in these activities. Please note that we cannot replace items that are lost during the maintenance process.

If your area observes daylight savings time your times should be fine, if it doesn't then subtract an hour. Think that will work for now while I get the table fixed (probably wont be fixed before maintenance, just saying).
