| New Fishing Adjustments Planned Greetings fishers, Previously we implemented some counter measures on the client side to ease fishing difficulty, but we received a lot of feedback to make adjustments to the fishing system itself. We have been planning to make some changes to the system, but due to the workload related to the new expansion, we have not been able to move forward much. Schedule wise please understand that this will take some time to actually implement, but I’d like to share the current plans for what we would like to adjust.

With "Fishing Skill Weight" I thought that system was already in place? In example catching crocs is complex and takes forever to deplete their HP yet a moat carp catches in like 2 seconds with a fast rate of depletion? Because level 110 versus level 11?
Am I missing something with that? Also what is complex about the controls? Pulling left or right in the opposite direction the bar depletion is hard? I NO UNDERSTAND. I think they want you to feel more accomplished for capping fishing skill really, well, for all those legit fishers out there :o
It really will make it easier to enjoy fishing without being constantly bombarded with changing directions and releasing it just at the right time so you don't recover the stamina of the fish. I agree with Kalilla. I always found fishing relaxing, now I can find it even more so without constant changes of direction.

SE loves to use its RNG's :( I honestly would love to see some progression systems like ToM's, if they did that I would jump right into doing that np.

Idk bout you but when I started the game and just tried fishing for fun, on my keyboard I had no idea how to fish :/ I think a one time pop of an arrow would be great for people just starting out fishing. I'd love to see some more GP items get added for all crafts. I know they did synergy cuffs but what about a full skill+ gear and updated things.
I think they feel that they can't really push it anymore. I think that's why they added GoV items for synthesis.

Every fishing change, no matter how benign, has me nervous. I'd rather them just forget that fishing exists entirely. Here's the thing: All things held equal (gear, jobs, items, strategies) any PC player can still outperform you. It comes from the ability to use an .xml and the spellcast plugin. It allows any pc windower player to change any and all gear in a single swap upon any preset condition. This is to say, even if you had the same sets and same gear, and you were perfect in pushing the RIGHT scenario macro (buffs/weather/ws/hate), you would have to push more macros than the PC player does. In other words, as the proverbial limit approaches perfection, PC players always outperform console players. Don't worry though. It seems you're so far from the min/max mark, in terms of gear and grammar, that it won't matter. Furthermore, your moral high ground will get you all the girls!

People should be able to play as they please (as long as it doesn't disrupt other players game play), it doesn't make you a better player doing something differently than someone else.
The only thing that matters is how you perform within the group. I expect people to give 110% of what they are capable of, and I want everyone to try to get better every time. I don't want people slacking off, I want people to work as a team. Team work is what this game is all about. Working together to take down a mighty foe, that's what matters. Not whether one person is using scripts or not, or if you're doing all the work on your crappy 12 year old system that can't even open the cd drive anymore. This bs about people taking the high road cause they don't cheat is ridiculous. If you don't break the ToS good for you, but I expect just as much out of you as I would from someone else. If you can do your job, good, but that doesn't make you better, that only means you're capable of doing your job. /end rant
