I just used Raichu and hoped for a para proc from Thunderbolt which enabled me to kill him fast enough. I don't recall what level.

I think I nuked a few though when I wasn't lookin >.> I really love Vaporeon, make it learn Blizzard to combat grass types and to do damage to water types, plus Aqua Ring for when stuff starts trying to beat the crap out of you. Plus helping hand! Really liking having it on my team... in fact I have two xD pretty nice having it on the frontlines for the last battle :>

As for running past the jerk when you finally do beat him, I'd suggest leveling up... because even my Gravelor died to him, and pretty much everything else until I leveled it up @_ @ but you might get lucky!

I taught a Butterfree Psychic, ruined it before it could get away. Got through by teaching my Raichu Protect.

Needing advice for lavendar town. everything dies somewhere around 3rd to last wave. any tips? Okay, for this fight I suggest no pokemon that can slow them or whirlwind because the longer the Persians are out, the more damage you take(the hardest part of this fight) I recommend Victreebell with growth+Gigadrain in your topleft (I believe they'll attack this one first, and it can heal itself). Topmiddle: A DD, I had a Radicate with focus energy+Super fang. Topright I had a Ninetails with Flamethrower. Bottomleft: Gravelor (defense curl+rollout). Bottommiddle: I had a Raichu start with Light screen, or I guess you can use Protect, then nuke with Thunderbolt and Bottomright I had Charizard with Flamethrower. Good luck! Don't forget about those potions :O

I used 2 Vileplumes with Giga Drain in front then 2 Arcanines with Fire Blast/Helping Hand then Charizard with Fire Blast and Nidoqueen with Fire Blast.
Fire Blast is broke imo, but Extreme Speed on the Arcanines would work too.

I dunnno about Fireblast, I first used it and it seemed really weird, so I switched back to Flame thrower, I'll have to look at it again D: And yeah, Helping hand helps a lot if you have an Arcanine, Ninetails doesn't learn it >:(

It's been a long time, but I suggest having a Butterfree or someone who could Stringshot at the front, set it for the Fastest pokemon. Then have a Grasstype or Watertype next to it, Or if you have a Radicate with crunch at that level, do focus energy+Crunch(Defense down for the rest of the pokemon below to hit).
The section below you should have 3 DD'ers, and 1 pokemon be one that can Whirlwind/Roar, and set it to Pokemon with the most HP.
Hope that helps, GL!

have no grass/water poke, should be easier if i did lol Well, when I did it, I had:
Stringshot Butterfree--Charmeleon Flamethrower
Thunderbolt Raichu--Radicate Focus energy+crunch or Hyperfang
Doublekick Nidorino--Pigeotto Whirlwind
Make sure Raichu is set on Super effective(To get Zubat), Radicate/Nido set on Least HP. Pigeotto set on Pokemon with most HP to whirl around.

FFFFFFFUUUUU Kyogre Charmeleon is good with Dragon Rage + Raichu with thunderbolt. If no Charmeleon, any rock type or anything with Defense curl+Roll out rapes. Could use two Raichu's, never did it so iuno if it works, but pretty sure it does. Code for Venonat is s21R25o4.
