Think for Kyogre I ended up going Golem/Raichu, or Charmeleon/Raichu.
Raichu to Thunder Wave, then swap to Thunderbolt until TW wore. Charmeleon set to Dragon Rage Golem would have been Earthquake or Rock Blast Also guys, I found a weird glitch. If you don't save/logout when you get an achievement, you can actually "Receive" the gift again. I got 3 Shiny Staryu's from defeating a Starmie vs Misty without realising until after I'd saved.

Well I just did it with this:
 Edit: Vaporeon using Blizzard, Jolteon using Thunder(could used Rain to make Thudner better also, but I didn't buy it yet), Flareon using Fire Blast, Blastoise using Aqua Tail. Didn't have a lower level plant pokemon for Giga Drain, not sure how much that would be effecting it though. x.x here is my fail team lol
 :D /rage quits again Does Venusaur get Giga Drain? It a Big must imo, so it can heal itself to stay alive.
Might need a TM but he should get it at some point.

Golem with defense curl should be able to tank all waves no problem with the exception of wave 5's water guns, which you can switch to blastoise tanking by making it use a defense up move (skull bash/withdraw) and have golem cancel his. You can also do it in reverse and have blastoise tank them all and swtich him out for wave 3's thunderbolts. just watch their HP and use pots if needed and it should be fine, probably. so I'm leveling up a new mankey to learn close combat and I recently learned punishent which is suppose to be 60 + (20 x number of buffs) but even with helping hand(2 buffs but lets count it as one) and focus energy that puts it's atk power at 100-120, yet it does WAY less damage then seismic toss(which is only 80), and by way I mean seismic toss 1 shots mobs on rout 5 and punishment does about half hp, so punishment is only doing about 40 damage with 3 buffs. Any one else experiencing this? I'm about to report it.

If not idk. @@; I was wondering about this because of the nature of ST in the original game. Tiss why I haven't reported it yet. edit- yeah CT defiantly it basically dragon rage x2 because close combat is suppose to be 120 damage and it does about 3/5 damage to the things ST 1 shots. my mankey just evolved into growlith wtf. on top of that all my pokemon just lost 10+ level each. basically they restarted to 14 levels ago.... and rage quit thats just *** ridiculousness.
what were peoples strategies for the 3rd gym with lt surge? im having a difficult time maybe i just dont have the right element pokemanz
