honestly the leveling took longer than catching the pikas. just gotta find the right pokemon and attacks not to kill them. i used 2 bugs with string shot and 2 lv 24-26 gyarados with bite; one on each side. still killed a few tho. they come in groups of 5 at veridian forest 2 when they pop.


it's weak to flying and psychic attacks if i remember correctly. though i think i just used charizard there. might want to slow it down someway and then quickly switch out to a good DD before it gets too far down.

I wish you could just pull a pokemon over another pokemon to overwrite it.

Had butterfree String Shot.
Quickly swapped in Primape and had him just Seismic Toss.

oh my problem wasnt taking out monkey/primeape (whichever it was), took care of him with Charmelion's Aerial Ace.
problem was running pass him. Beedrill made it pass him.

Btw, for the pokemon you *trade* for (mr mime, farfethc'd), It seems if you trade a shiny, you get a shiny back.

No you do not get the message every time, My second shiney beedril and my shiney geodude both almost got raped b4 I could nab them because they where hidden behind other mobs and I couldn't see that they where shiney. The only message I have got for shiney so far is the first one.I have also missed a shiney zoobat and jigglypuff due to expecting for the screen to stop and it not.

edit - a message just appeared for a shiney spearow so not sure whats going on, why sometimes it shows up sometimes it doesn't

Splash has such a long cool down so he hardly gets any exp ;;

anyone got any pointers on how to beat the second gym cause no matter what i do i just cant pass the forsaken thing!

Finally took the advice and trained 2 Pidgeottos for Whirlwind in the bottom two spots, a Raichu in the middle using thunderbolt, Charmeleon with Dragon Rage and a Bellsprout with Solar Beam in the top two corners.

All around 20-21, with bellsprout at 19 xD

any pointers for the second part? that guy is hard as hell >< cant seem to beat him he sleeps to full all the time.

Was easy with a pikachu and a gloom. They just pounded him down everytime.

Might just have to grind out a few levels before you can kill him.
