Its been several years since I’ve played Lineage II, but that game had something very similar to idea #3. Lineage II had MSN Messenger built right into the game, which allowed you to, well basically use any basic function MSN Messenger has, such as add/drop people, chat rooms, live chat/calls, etc etc. The great thing about that is it made it very easy for LS leaders to keep in contact with LS members who weren’t logged online in-game atm and find out if they were going to be joining for events and such that day.
Although the thought of idea #1 sounds cool, I could see it turning into a problem. Like how Ul’dah became more popular/populated than the other cities, I could see the same thing happening to servers as well. For example, the server Trabia becoming the main server and all the rest suffering due to that major shift in population… There are also a few other small problems too but not quite as major.
Also about idea #2, I know SE is going to add a breading system to the chocobos and they are considering different colored chocobos aswell. As far as I know there will be a battle system implemented (not sure which patch this will be, don’t think its 1.19 though) where you’ll be able to battle alongside with your chocobo to train it and level it up.
Personally I would love for a chat program such as MSN to be built into the game, I found it to be VERY useful when I was playing Lineage II several years ago. I’m also very excited that we’re FINALLY getting chocobos!! Also can’t wait for the breading and battle system to be implemented for chocobos as well, I hope they decide to add different colored chocobos too.
