Annihilator RNG TP sets what and why

I suppose I'm not getting my point across. I'm not an idiot when it comes to gearing, and I've played RNG for many years before, however I do find RNG to be one of the more difficult jobs to gear because there's so many things to consider. I'm looking for items that would be considered the best for TP, Coro, and Last stand. I'd really rather not specify every single slot and ask "is this better than this?" However, I'll provide an example. Thaumas kecks vs. af2+2 legs for Last stand and Coro. Would Thaumas beat af2 for last stand, but vice versa for Coro? Are either of those even the best to use? Should I be going after another pair of legs? Another example, what hands should be considered for TP and WS? Are people putting the stp+7 from af3+2 to use, or can you achieve the ideal TP set, x-build(4/5), without them so that you can TP in af2+2? And would you Last stand in af2+2, or does Seiryu's kote beat them? These are basically the questions I'm attempting to get answered, but with every slot. I just want to see what other RNGs are aiming for right now for them to consider their WS set, and TP set, "done". I've checked a few common poster's sets from this thread, but they're all quite different, so I can't get a good idea just from picking them all out and looking at it.

I'm not sure if you're being a smartass to be funny, or if you in general just don't know the answer to my questions, which I find hard to believe the latter. As a side note, if you don't know the answer, why even respond?

Maybe because I asked the question in the middle of the night, and they are asleep or haven't checked? lol

I don't understand how it came off like that. Plenty of other people have asked questions similar, people with relics, and they got answers. Like I said, I've had anni for almost 2 years, but I quit the game, recently came back, and quite honestly I can't tell what's considered best anymore. I'm very aware of how to play this game, and how to gear in general, but RNG I find a bit more difficult to determine what is best, so I figured it would be best to ask other RNGs. I guess the general consensus of AH forums is "lol you ask question you must suck"

I'd like to know how you came to that conclusion just because I asked a question.

by reading your posts and your reactions and analyzing them into the same patterns you see in people with low intelligence on ffxi. it's like clockwork.

Flawless logic. Ask a question, must suck. React to someone being a smartass and not offering real answers, but instead thinks they are hilarious because they can troll so hard, which I'm convinced now that it's because you have no idea how to gear yourself, obviously person reacting has low intelligence. Couldn't be that they just legit wanted to know what's changed since the person quit or anything. Naw, that ***is unheard of.

^ all the proof i need
oh btw, heres my mythic setup, it's not exactly 5hit due to temps in vw etc, some stuff can get swapped out depending on your situation, i usually tp in af2+2/terebellum actually
i'm sure its not optimal in certain situations, but it clearly doesn't suck so much that i don't have some clue as to what im doing

Yeah, except refer back to my original post, which says I did look at item sets, and there's too much diversity to come to the conclusion of what's best. I also asked for what is BEST, not what people use. I'm trying to make up a wish list of sorts so that I have something to work towards. I've lurked the threads, and I don't remember anyone posting a set that was claimed to be the best, unless I overlooked it. You clearly are a complete and utter retard that can't read for ***. Please don't respond if you have no idea what you're talking about. Case and point, you posted your sets, which I'm fairly certain even my sets are currently better than that, yet I didn't ask to see what you currently use. I asked to see what people all are aiming for to consider their sets done, and the best. Please just stop talking and let someone who can actually come up with an answer to my actual question answer it. I didn't come here to argue. I came to improve what I currently use.
Just to be specific, I looked at your sets and Generic's sets, and read through this entire thread + the last stand thread before I even posted. If you take a look at Generic's sets, it's quite different from what you're using, which is exactly why I said there's too much diversity to just look at a few peoples sets and say "okay, I guess this one person is better than the rest and he has the perfect set"

This is assuming you are fighting higher tiered mobs. As with all jobs, gear selections to maximize damage will vary depending on the mobs attributes and what buffs you have. Most people try to gear for perfection in doing damage, but it just isn't possible in most cases. You would have to know the mobs DEF and VIT, and exactly what buffs you will have on.
Quote: Thaumas kecks vs. af2+2 legs for Last stand and Coro. Thaumas kecks for both Last Stand and Coronach. Khepri Kecks for Coronach if you can manage to get the -1 crafted.
Quote: what hands should be considered for TP and WS? If you plan on using an X-build, Sylvan Glovettes +2 will probably fit best into your set. If not, Scout's Bracers +2 are a good choice. I find using an X-build to be useless most of the time due to Embrava, Tactician's Roll, Regain Meds, and gaining TP from taking damage.

Without attribute boosting meds in Legion, Scout's will likely help you more. Myrmex mittens and Thaumas hands (If you are using the head, legs, and feet) are good.

there is no "best" hence the reason y there are so many diffrent sets. Just do what i do, look at those sets, find out what works for u and roll with it.
I find if u gear for every single diffrent situation, u will have so much gear on u that u wont even even have space for ammo.

Yeah, to be honest I don't see myself playing RNG in voidwatch at all so I'm only gearing for things I'm positive I'm not ranged attack capped on, and probably not fstr capped on. Legion seemed like the best example since it's already out, but I'm sure new ein will be high tier mobs as well.

This. I have this problem and I hate it!
As far as capping fSTR and RA for newer content, Greever is right. You can number crunch until you are blue in the face, but if you don't have the best gear, you shouldn't stop yourself from going RNG to VW/Legion.
I'm sure what you are using will suffice.

Oh I wasn't saying I won't go RNG because I don't have flawless gear for VW. My RNG gear isn't terrible, it's just not perfect (I like to consider myself a perfectionist to be honest). I was only saying it because my MNK is almost perfectly geared, and my DRK is getting there. People just tend to prefer those two over RNG. But for Legion, relic RNG seems pretty awesome. Figured I may as well start working towards gearing for it.

Khepri Kecks don't rly beat Thaumas legs for Coro. 4/5 Thaumas is pretty much the best you can do for it atm due to the +5 from set bonus on the 4th piece. Although you gain 7 STR, your losing out on 2DEX and 14AGI. Second, if by most the time you mean VW then ok, using a x-hit build can be labeled useless for your own reasoning. However TP overflow never hurt and there are plenty of other events you can do on RNG where using a x-hit build can make you that much better. A lot of ppl don't believe in RNG/SAM but you'll definitely notice the difference in Legion and you can consistently deal dmg while not pulling hate. The last thing is something I've tested by parsing with different sets for Last Stand and that is you'll deal more dmg using a set that is heavy in AGI/R.att then using a set that is heavy AGI/STR.
As for Takuun, Hohenheim is a very nice person, please try not to disrespect someone that is trying to help you out. He is right in the fact that you can look at our item sets to see the gear that we prefer to use due to the fact that we think it's the best setup for how we are trying to play our job. If you have questions from there then feel free to ask^^ As for your msg, my sets are pretty much set in stone. There may be one or two pieces I might swap in if I get them with the gear that is currently out but I'm very satisfied with the performance of my RNG

I'm not going to debate whether or not he is a nice person, but as far as I'm concerned he was being a smart ***. His responses never once answered my questions, and I never disrespected him until he began disrespecting me, such as saying I have "low intelligence". I asked a question last night, and he immediately started with responses that were just somewhat pointless. To me, that isn't "someone trying to help me out".
I did look at your sets, both of yours actually and a few others, before posting. I just couldn't get a good idea of what was considered end all be all, or even a general idea of what to aim for. That's why I posted. :o
As for hohenheim, I apologize if anything I said was disrespectful, it just seemed to me like you weren't trying to help, but moreso trying to be an ***. If that wasn't your intention, all I can say is that was the way it came off. Once again, I apologize for retaliating if it wasn't your intention.

I understand where you're coming from, but from poking around in the spreadsheets for other jobs, I'm not sure one can really say that "perfect" exists. Changes in buffs significantly alter the relative value of various gear swaps, so unless you're really going to spellcast for every possible buff situation, you'll end up having to make sacrifices one way or another.

Looking to see what people are using for their annihilator tp sets for things such as Voidwatch and why.
Now as in voidwatch I think we all know how important it is to not pull hate off the tanks, so with that being said I'm currently using an enmity down build to tp in. With the coronach aftermath of -20 and the gear I use can hit cap of -50 enmity
This is my current set i'm messing around with as RNG/SAM
This set also returns 20 TP per hit.
What are other people using and why?
