currently have it, but stuck at the part where you gotta Fight those 2 salamander things w/o the use of a transformable character since Leo is knocked out or w/e and the guy in red flew off to a frontline battle. (forget his name, its been a long time since i played it) Set airborn slash attacks to your characters and when they take off order everyone to attack your target and be hitting their tail, that should pull them down pritty quick. Also if build your AC ahead of time you can rip a good chunk of hp (maybe kill one straight out depending on your level) depending on how your builds are
minor spoilerage Scardigne comes pre built with shortsword if I remember right which is alot of slashing so he should do well for the fight
Phoenix.Lillicarnage said: »It's almost crazy (or maybe I am just being a baby) how the difficulty from WKC > WKC2 jumps up. Through WKC I never *HAD* to use magics, or aerial attacks, I pretty much just straight up DD'd through the whole thing and only ever used tier 1 heals. Then WKC2 kicks me in the face with flying enemies, physical immune enemies, and these damnable trolls who have shields (is there a way to break their shield stance or just wait it out?). Nothing impossible to gauge so far though, just a steep learning curve there which is not fun the first time through exactly. Yeh I was suprised by that as well, it took me 4 tries to beat the damn ancient dragon where as the first one your could practicly sleep though the knight fights and win. It deffinetly requires tactics this time around. I was lurking around the neoseeker's wiki forum and some people were complaining that the final fight was too hard even at 65 (the cap before you hit gr 18, then it goes up by 5 the next couple ranks) and then some who had no problem with it as low as 48.
You can break the shield on the trolls by attacking it. Need to use air attacks, magic, bows or knights to be able to target it and it still takes a bit before it breaks. I raged when I saw a shield troll before figureing this out because I knew it was gunna take a while. You can get everyone to attack it by setting to attack your target, if set to auto they will still attack the legs/head.
I'm always making big posts in this thread it seems >.>
Edit: Under greede isn't too bad once you know how everything works... just annoying as ---k

I am about to do the part he is talking about I think, just had the same people he mentioned doing the same things and going to the same places (don't think that needs a spoiler).
I was planning to take in Elrond or Enron or Elroy... whatever the old man's name is (I never use him) and just dumped all his skills into magics when I changed my party up, but on the way to wherever we are going I learned that the term "conserve MP" is used somewhat loosely in the AI's vocab. As soon as we saw a troll he unloaded a full arsenal of aga spells dealing some impressive damage until he was left standing there like a moron with 22 MP (just high enough that Yulie wouldn't sing to him). So yeah I think I will be swapping him out for Kain Scardigne and going the slashing route you mentioned above.

Yeh the AI is so useless with mages that it hurts to watch, if hes in you party best to just make him do the healing. Totally regreted not just giving Eldore a long/short sword XD What's weird is I thought I remembered the mage AI being alot better (not good but still alot better) in the first one.

So... many... errands...
Love the ones where people are standing next to each other and ask you to "deliver a message" though.

no its pretty shitty, there were times when i had to take over leonard or yulie/caesar and let my char go to AI, and it was shittastic. we'd be fighting like a wind dragon, and it'd be casting like windlash and stuff and i'd be like

This whole monster level and drop system confuses the hell out of me and the wiki/boards don't make things any better. For example Ignis Wyvern Wing, which I want for Queen's Mail (yay boobies!) is listed on the wiki on the item's page as "Van Haven Waste (All above ground areas)".
Then on the Ignis Wyvern page (the monster) it lists spawns as
* Feeding Time
* Dragon the Line
* Vellgander : Section 9
Which are RGR16/20, 20/26, and whatever the endgamey stuff is (my rank is currently GR13).
To confuse things further the same page lists drops under GR12 as being 10%.
At this point I am confused because it seems to me that the monster only spawns during the quests in GR 16+, so why is it also listed as a GR12 drop, and furthermore ONLY listed as a GR12 drop which implies at higher GR the item will no longer drop?!?
So I go to the boards/forum section of the wiki where I find someone saying that the drop can be obtain only in the online missions or in Redhorn Isle... WTF?! Why do neither the mob nor the item drop pages make any mention of Redhorn Isle(also I have yet to go to Redhorn as I have been doing Errands and spamming Draco quest to try and get an Ancient Dragon Skull)?
------------
On a separate note of confusion now that I bring up the Ancient Dragon Skull which I am yet to get... The Draco Regalis quest (aka "King of Dragons") is listed on the wiki as having a GR 6, 9, and 12 version. I am currently GR13 as I mentioned above and still only have access to the GR6 version. The first 2 have the skull I need listed as quest reward drops, and the Ancient Dragon itself shows he drops it when you kill him (5%) but only at GR12+.... -_-
------------
So all in all GR ranks, mob drops, and spawn locations are confusing me. Is the system really this confusing or is the wiki community for this game just that terrible? I thought it was straightforward enough, my understanding was that GR Rank missions had tiers which would affect mob levels/spawns/drops on an instanced basis and would not affect world map free-roam mobs/spawns/drops.
Sorry for ranting but its frustrating that armor that I got recipes for at level 30 which are now borderline useless because of levels and I STILL CANT EVEN MAKE THEM.

Grahhhhhhh
Probably a good chance that a lot of the spawn locations, drops, and quest rewards are based on that too. -_-
This game really needs 2 separate wiki pages damnit.

Also, there is a Draco Regalis II which I think is GR15 though I could be mistaken. You have to buy the quests from the Guild guy. Same guy that doles out the bounties.
I'd honestly play through and just worry about armor and weapons when you get to the end.

GR15 ugh figures. Yeah I went to Redhorn finally and walked into a rift and got stomped proper, so I have been some side questing to get a few upgrades and exp, also trying to unlock those additional 2 skills per tree through the errands but it is so boring. Also ran out of money so been doing hunts and quests for that to do my next Geo-upgrade.
And booyeah!
Why is it so so so green ; ;

Gotta love the hour long boss fight with the whole level wide switch activation and then being forced into a second... and third boss fight and then being forced to use the stupid Knights which causes me to *** lose and start all over.

This game really needs 2 separate wiki pages damnit. Yeah I find that it does mix a lot. Some of the pages do have it split between WKC and WKC2 but I don't think they have many contributers so it's only on a few pages. If it helps can read it based off the teir of the quest (ie Draco Regalis, Draco Regalis II, Draco Regalis III) since for the most part the drops are the same but higher drop rates.
The ignis wings you got it right looking in van haven I think, just make sure they are ignis because theres 6 different types of wyverns with different drops XD

Love the ones where people are standing next to each other and ask you to "deliver a message" though. Some of them were pritty bad for that... good lord the one in greede that had you running back and forth across the zone like 10 times, I was ready to call it quits and come back later when it finally finished.
Edit: Flavin's got it right btw, best bet is to finish up first because alot of gear that shows up in the binding list you can't actually make because the right level mobs for the drop only show up in quests or the one time bounties.

Decided to advance the story last night, I found out that Redhorn Isle will actually spawn the Ignis Wyverns after you beat the storyline boss there. Things were going smoothly, I found a couple rifts and got some cool free stuff for the Arks, killed some dragons, ya know normal stuff, and then...
BRIMMFLAME
FOUR HOURS, 6 RETRYS, AND GOD KNOWS HOW MANY MANA POTS LATER
So yeah, that was not too much fun and stopped there for the night. Gunna run about again some more and try and finish some more errands, at this point I only have the ones that require drops and the ones that require going from city to city 50 times left basically.

Oh god, *** brimmflame. I ended up rotateing knights with the next just barely getting 7AC. It was like the WKC version of zombieing a mob down with apoc atma... it doesn't help that they force what's his face into your party and hes a good 8 or so levels behind the rest of your group >.>

Let me know if you ever want to do some quests, normally around in the mornings/early afternoon and board XD

Honestly I am half considering getting the guide if it has good info and going in and editing all the G-damn pages on the wiki with it.

Yeah that wiki is such a huge mess, I think it would be best to contact someone running it and see how they want it done... but really good luck with that. Otherwise I would say make full on new pages for WKC2 stuff, I dunno.

Hi PlayStation.Blog readers! We wanted to share first details on the Guild Update (game version 1.01) for White Knight Chronicles II. The update will radically enhance your online play options and provide more than 100 pieces of new downloadable content along with some other new features; read on for an in-depth dissection.
Guild System
One of the most exciting features is the new Guild System. By purchasing the commerce item “Guild License” at the PlayStation Store, you’ll be able to create your own Guild — a collective of GeoNet communities built by players that enables them to interact with each other online as they play. Create a Guild and you will have your own personal Guild page, which will allow you to participate in online Guild rankings, access the Guild’s exclusive HomeTown, and more. Once you create your Guild, you can pick your favorite character as a concierge (Guide) by purchasing a Concierge ticket item. Your concierge is a sort of Guild mascot that helps run day-to-day operations by managing your guild’s HomeTown, its guild tokens and GeoStones, and providind information about designated quests.
Members of a guild are allotted three guild tokens per day. Guild masters receive four a day. You can use guild tokens when creating or joining in quests. If you do, completing the quest will earn GeoStones and prestige points for your guild. You may commit up to five guild tokens to a single quest. The more guild tokens you commit, the more GeoStones you can obtain. You can carry only up to three days’ worth of guild tokens at once, though you can purchase a Token Storage Ticket, to keep up to seven days’ worth (that’s 21 tokens, or 28 for guild masters). You’ll receive GeoStones by completing quests. GeoStones are the jewels that affect your guild’s position in the rankings. There are twelve different GeoStones, and the type you are likely to receive varies based on the Guild Rank of the quest. GeoStones enable guild members to obtain prestige points, raising the guild’s reputation and improving its position in the online rankings. If your guild builds up enough prestige, it will gain a level the next time points are tabulated in the rankings. The higher a guild’s level, the more facilities and items become available in its Guild HomeTown.
Also, GeoStones can be “GeoForged” to transform them into other items. Some items may only be obtained through GeoForging, and the items you can create change on a daily basis. Boosting your guild’s level will increase the selection of items you can create through GeoForging.
Statue Factory
Statue Production has started at HomeTown’s Binding Post. Speak to Gaspard in your HomeTown to commission a statue. You can get a Statue by paying with small jewels known as Dahlia or with a Prism Ticket. Prism Tickets can be purchased either at the in-game online store or at PlayStation Store.
There are more than 150 statues dividing into 10 Statue Packs. You can check your “Statue Collection” in the Travelogue of the main menu. By placing the right combination of statues in your HomeTown, you can earn statue bonuses. Gather some statues and try it out! Here are some examples of statue bonuses:
Statue Bonuses
•Georama Stat Cap Raised (to 60)
Place more than 1 statue. Stat cap raised to 60.
•Farmer Stat Bonus +1
Place more than 2 types of giant vespid, troll, or fire giant type statues.

New Dowloadable Content
The Guild update will also bring more than 100 pieces of new downloadable content that yu can buy via the in-game store or PlayStation Store. In addition to the aforementioned Concierge Tickets, Guild License, and Prism Tickets, new downloadable content will include:
•Incorruptus Colors: More colors are now available to customize your
Incorruptus.
•Artifact Plans: Will earn you Incorruptus armors with unusual colors at a
relatively low rate.*You must have access to an Incorruptus Workshop in order to bind artifacts.

Done with my Skyrim addiction, back to the good smack.
New patch came out, kinda cool (swimsuits yay!) but some stuff they really lamed up. Can't have more than one Jewelry accessory, which promotes capes and masks which is cool but seriously losing 9 STR kinda sucks.
The new Free monster areas seem cool. Wide range of levels of monsters with various guild ranks for both their drops and harvest drops is nice, with a 2 hour time limit and portals to the incoruptus realm (whatever you wanna call it).
Looking forward to getting back into this after finishing out this last week or two of class.

The only 1 ring or earring part isn't as bad as people make it out to be. They buffed the crap out of the damage calculations so all in all you are getting alot more damage now then before. I was a little disapointed when I saw that as well, then started hitting stuff and switched to "what is this madness, I like!"
Do you mind if I steal your PSN from under your avatar btw? XD
