I Just started watching this last night D:, meant to watch it all season but was busy keeping up with too many other shows lol :x.
-.- it was the best of its season. Anohana, Tiger & Bunny, hanasaku iroha etc were decent seconds....but nothing matched steins. Even of the surprisingly good summer season, only kamisama dolls, kamisama no memochou and mawaru penguindrum come close. From a type2 perspective of course!

True! I'm sad it didn't reach the hype of Madoka, though; it's definitely worthy of it.
Now I'm just waiting for the (hopefully) dramatic yet hilariously Hana-esque ending to HanaIro. :)
AnoHana--totally cried at the end. XD I dropped KamiMemo at around the 3rd or 4th arc; it was good but not quite engaging.
A few friends have been strongly recommending Usagi Drop and No. 6; so I'm planning on watching those now that Steins;Gate and HanaIro are ending; I might also pick up T&B since I've been hearing good stuff about it.
But yeah--Nothing compares to S;G, it just fulfilled all the aspects of a good anime we all hunger for--the humor, the sci-fi mindf*ckery, the art, the characters (MY GOD, THE CHARACTERS <3), the references to the 2chan community, the music... and apparently, Dr. Pepper. :3
Er, sorry for the random jump from anime to anime--sort of bored in class. xD

:D the characters were just so perfect. SOO SO real. Thats what made it so good. Also loved the reference to Dr. Who's timey wimey ball...oh yes.
Modoka got hype because it appealed to basically everyone. It was a magical girl anime that had a decent amount of plot twists, actually decent music and a modicum of plot.
Usagi drop is sweet, and a good watch. No6 is decent enough if u dont mind shounen-ai tendencies.
KamiMemo should be about to get better. And KamiDolls im just waiting for the plot twist mindfuckery (well, ardently hoping at any rate, so much potential for a kill-em-all).
Ayne knows I love it, and it makes me deeply sad to see it end. IMO it should have been like Bleach and kept on going. Battling SERN and the others in the way until he makes the perfect world. But in a way he did, and he suffered so hard for it yet still kept his sanity and coolness.
This anime is the best I have seen in 2 years, please don't *** the movie up.

NOOOOOOO comparisons to bleach and naruto are forbidden! Steins;Gate = coolness, bleach/naruto = unforgivable shitness. Coolness, Shitness, Coolness, Shitness.

LMAO--as much as I love Bleach for how cool it USED to be (also out of nostalgia and sentimentality), I like when anime have a sense of direction and fulfillment, MUCH UNLIKE how Bleach is currently going. A good example would be FullMetal Alchemist (the manga AND Brotherhood onry), whose plot and characters were both satisfactorily fulfilled at the end. Tite Kubo tends to create hordes of characters, and more often than not, leaves them undeveloped or unfinished (like what in el Hueco Mundo happened to Nel, ffs???); his arcs are becoming more and more superficial like fillers, and he leaves a lot of loose ends unfinished in the plot as a whole.
Steins;Gate didn't fill in ALL the blanks, but the plot was definitely satisfying. And I don't mean to downplay your feelings at all, Attribute--ALL good anime leave you hankering for more, amirite?? :D
...Buhyeah, watch FMA:Brotherhood. And personally, I like the subs better; the voice acting needs to be exact when it comes to the more intense scenes. :>

SG let us feel that they would move on and fulfil themselves in life, thus it didnt need to fill ALL the blanks.
For bleach, i have to agree that the original arc (soul society) was actually pretty good. Good enough to rewatch in fact. But everything after that just went downhill so fast.

LOVED brotherhood. The scene at the end with Winry and ed.....AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. But yes.
Prefer raw or subbed personally, with the exceptions of ghost in the shell moves cus u just cant find fricking subbed ANYWHERE (innocence mostly) and black lagoon because its meant to be in english.

Brotherhood has been the only decent thing I have seen lately, Gundam Unicorn is good but erratic releases aka Hellsing Ultimate. Have high hopes for the claymore manga ending, and maybe a remake of the anime (ala brotherhood). And yes, always watch the subs in action shows. Few exceptions out there, lolinuyasha was better in english.
the ending to the claymore anime was stupid beyond belief, lets just retcon the ENTIRE show -_-
I am LOVING the manga, but waiting 1 month between chapters after reading 100+ chapters all in one sitting might explain why it feels so goddamn slow. But EPIC.
Godamnit i know! Rei needs to move it and churn out more BL like a nice lil slave mangaka.
Aye the ova's were good, but tbh i do prefer the manga for RBT arc. Ah well!
This is actually one of the rare times where I have to hand it to the anime director for making such drastic changes to the character development, while allowing the plot to remain just barely intact. At least they stayed consistent with the "villainizing" of Rock in the Yakuza arc, and showed his full on villain-grin in the OVA. Which they actually cover in the last published 5 chapters--how scary Rock's become thus far. :o good development, I say.

Yeh this. I like the new manga arc tho, badasses remain badass. New badasses show up....though i'm still waiting to see claire again.
Me too >_<
My god rock! From such a weak character we have a beast on our hands. I really really hope he doesnt have a crisis phase after fabiola bitching at him, and just gets on with becoming a demonic ***.
Claymore...when it finishes im reading it start to finish in one day. I WILL do it.
