I've been playing around with my Kraken Club gear sets and am in need of some math help. My goal with the set is to get off two WS's per mob as fast as possible. Here are the two sets:

Accuracy isn't an issue as I eat Squid Sushi and I always sub Sam. The Store TP in the sets bring me from 10 to 9 club hits after I WS. I'm looking for someone to calculate which set would be quicker to 100tp. Is adding 15%DA and 5%TA enough to outdo the club tp gain from set #1, even when the club won't proc 2-8 times when DA/TA proc?
Something else I've considered is adding Apocalypse Atma and dropping Smoldering. Any thoughts?

DA and TA are doing essentially nothing (possibly even slowing you down) when using a kclub.

I know for a fact double attack is slowing you down and I believe tipple attack as well. Pretty simple just go haste till cap then store tp from there and acc to fill in the rest.

if you drop smoldering your WS dmg is gonna plummet.. and youd gain nothing. I'm almost positive ranged WS can't DA/TA/QA so you'd only gain 15% ta on tp phase,which does nothing considering your club...
Use the first setup, except:
Tactical Mantle, Hoard Ring, Ziel Charm, and augment your Haidates with as much STP as you can.

It's more just for messing around making endless skillchains, showing off, or w/e but even 100 STP only yields 20 per club swing :P idk..you'll have to show me in-game sometime lol
He has enough STP there that he's getting 50 TP in 3 hits with K-club. It means he has over 100 STP, I think.
You can get 60 from Atma, 15 from /SAM, 6 from food, and an easy 31 in gear without sacrificing anything. K-club/Genin Aspis/Anni/Bullets Z-Tiara/Terciel/Volley/Regain Moonshade Loki's/Dusk +1/Hoard/Rajas Tactical/Goading/Haidate/Dusk +1 That would give you 14.8 TP/hit with K-club When I was using it I did the math on ffxi calc, but I forgot the exact number. It was something like 18TP/hit with KC so up to 144TP an attack round if all 8 hits went off.

Thanks for the tips. I'm going to play around with it some more. I just used the set below with Lone Wolf, Ultimate, and Persistant Predator and it's much faster than my first set above. Wildfire was still hitting for 3.5-4.5k.
The Haidate have 2stp. I doubt I'll try to get more because it took me long enough to get 4% crit dmg. that video reminds me of project xi lol

KC RNG used to be good back @75 if you were willing to waste bullets on lolbirds. It's completely useless against anything else, and fairly detrimental. This is coming from someone with KC + Annihilator as well. Like upbeat said, it's fun, but the damage is really not that great. I respectfully disagree. My kc Gandiva Rng fairs with ukko WARs quite well in pure damage output. Too bad I don't have nearly as easy of a time surviving :)
I mainly use it to farm for Dark Rings. I've yet to see a method more productive.
RNG/WAR(Double attack blows, but berserk makes up for it. Nothing like one shotting EXP mobs) KC/Harrier +2 is really nasty. RR/GH/SA + RCB+1 as long as you have bersek up Jishnu's should one shot all the dolls, and barrage will also one-shot dolls if enough hits land.
I had a video of it in action, but did a system restore before I posted/backed it up. Jishnu for 8~10k spamming from KC is really just stupid. |
