Sudden Lunge is now my favourite spell in the entire game.

That is all.
True Strike.

You can stun something and get a teleport off. Casting ichi won't be a problem with anything this lands on.

Yeah, I've found Ichi much easier to get up now. By the time it's finished casting you still have 3-4s of it still being stunned. It's ridiculous tbh.

The effect of the stun does not seem to be diminished whatsover vs NMs, however, I did notice that the accuracy of the stun is still somewhat low unfortunately. It only had about a ~10% land rate on blanga, wearing some decent magic accuracy gear, whereas the spell stun had a 100% land rate.

With that said, it's soooo good in dynamis.

Edit:

For the mavi bazubands +2, try Mv. bazubands +2.

Was able to land Heavy Strike quite consistantly on the IT worms in gustav, downside to it was it required sushi but not a too bad food of choice in say, voidwatch anyway.

Theeeeeeeeeeeeen again, I was lv93 uncapped skill/sword, with ok-ish gears, I'd assume theres alot better, not really looked into it.

But yeah, most noteworthy gear to point out is +1 AF1 body, alcide+1 feet/hands, rajas, thundersoul, rest STR tho didnt wanna try w/ ire+1 yet. On anything high-lvl guess it'll require sacrificing some STR for acc, capped skill on lv95 now but not sword, will see what STR i can keep in w/ all capped, and maybe a better test subject.

Shh before they nerf it.

I love it. I observed it on that Opo NM in La Theine. It stunned him for the regular crazy long time the first 2-3 times. After that, the NM began to resist the stun length more and more until stun wore off right after I would cast it. Perfect spell to shove in for that "oh ***I need to get shadows up" or whatever moment if you don't spam it too much on NMs.

Yeah, I went the alcide's route as well, except for feet where I opted for denali instead. I have mederi feet with 6 str, and blood greaves with blue skill +4, but I believe that denali's accuracy will place it above those two. I was considering buying alcide's body +1... it has 6 str and critical damage +3%, plus quite a bit of accuracy. I'm not sure if the 3% crit damage would be better than the 15 blue skill on af1 body.

I'm currently debating a neck piece as well. I do have ire torque +1, but using something like ziel neck would give me +15 accuracy (counting the -3 from ire). Anguinus belt would be another nice addition if needed. Overall, this spell is a pain in the *** to gear for. The gear sets are going to be completely different depending on what situation you're in. I don't have the space to carry around all this accuracy gear.

This post is not to bash anyone, but to just state my experience with the spell and throw my useful opinion/advice out to help the struggling blus out there. First of all. Props to all the blus that can go blu to VW, im a Pld so i dont get that luxury. with my experiences with Heavy Strike i was in Abyssea (Atmas: RR SS GN), i dont understand why people say that it misses a lot, mine hit 90% of the time and my high so far is 6850. if youre saying that it misses so much because youre only testing it in VW however, thats dumb, because we all know VW mobs are evasive and nearly everyone is popping sushi at that event. and the case someone here mention /war where? im sorry i cant remember your name but i love you. if your acc is that bad, use aggressor, way better dmg output overtime than waiting on sneak attack every minute.

I'm not a Blu but i did get to see Heavy Strike in woe for the first time and it was nice. On Tapan's minion it did 3,800 dmg pretty impressive even for weak to blunt mob. Monks in there were doin 1400-1700 smites so it definetily holds some serious power was nice to see damage like that. Go blu!
