Blmviper ** Goodbye All ** Testimonial.

Hi fellow Cerberusians and other FFXI lovers.

Sadly the time has come for me to retire from FFXI.

It's been years of wonderfull companionships, friends, linkshell events, drama and countless hours trying to complete different aspects of ffxi to get new fancy gear, complete mission and quests and of cause level grinding different jobs to the max :D

It all began many many years ago when I ordered FFXI from Japan where it was first released - Even though i couldnt read or understand a word of japanese i just had to get a copy of the game being the Final Fantasy Fan I was.

Funniest part of that story is - It took me weeks until I found out that you had to buy and use new spell scrolls to learn/get new spells as a mage job hehe. So I levelled BLM from lvl 1 to 20 with only Stone I and couldnt figure out why the ¤"#" I wasn't getting any new spells :D

I must admit I'm not really sad for leaving ffxi at this point and time. In short the time was right for me.
- I needed the money I used to spend on keeping 3 accounts alive.
- I didn't really participate in LS events the last months I played due to very sporadic playtimes due to IRL Family stuff.
- And last but not least I feel like I have been around long enough to experience most of what ffxi had to offer to the playerbase (yes yes i know level cap increase soon :D).

I'm going to begin beta testing SWTOR very soon and hopefully that game can give me some sort of renewal and excitement in MMORPG gameplay again. Who knows - We might bump into each other in the future so keep a look out for TrooperViper XD XD

I want to give my thnx out to all the nice people I've meet over the years on Cerberus, Hades and Lakshmi.
- A special thnx also goes out to the few Danish people i've meet over the years.

Because they mistakenly think they have some ammount of fame? That or just too lazy to message all their friends.

The game was releaced in japan 2002 not 2000 just a heads up

I have to agree.
The amount of emotional attachment demonstrated in posts/eulogies like this one makes it pretty obvious that the author will return.

If one is really and truly "done" with FFXI, one probably doesn't romanticize one's exit in this way.

Don't sell your account.. I give it 3-6 months before making a thread asking if you should return.

No you're supposed to take all the items off it, sell it, call SE saying you got hacked, reroll and dupe all your items!

Oh yeah, how could I forget.. Throw away all your R/E gear, like your Opo-opo crown.

I would never sell my account for many reasons.

One of them being, like i stated in my testm., an importet JP account version of the game. So selling it or re-activating it for that matter now that its been cancelled would be a big hassle, it always has been with JP accounts since they stopped accepting none JP credit cards as a payment method.

And I don't think you're a *** :) And who knows I might be back in 3, 6, 12 or 24 months, who knows... But I'm doubting it.. Especially since I haven't really played for 4 months already. I've lost that feel for the game that I used to have for the last 9 years.
- All i did the last 4 months was either not play or login to do more or less nothing, alone, and thus I have been silently away from the game for 4 months already.

The main reason I made this topic was just to inform cerberusian players who know me, that I am gone and that I wasn't just taking a short break from the game.

I can't login anymore, accounts already been cancelled since end of July.

Oh yeah and about the romantic stuff :D hehe - well what can I say.. I write poems IRL and I have many fond memories of ffxi play so why wouldnt it be both a happy and a sad goodbye - but a goodbye nonetheless :)

And saying this again - I cant say goodbye ingame, it's to late now, my account is closed. So i figured a thread on ffxi wouldn't hurt anyones feelings as long as i was posted in the propper server forum area. But apparantly for some weird reason it did.

And I don't care if you've seen threads like this a billion times before, I've never posted a thread like this before so for me its a first time.

I didn't have as much trouble as I remember you having, but I did almost break 1k on my lik count (1/974). Anyways, I'll sign off with my trophy pic. You were one of the first people I remember seeing ingame that had completed the quest, so that's what I'll remember you for. So long.

Yeah this guy was fun to do smn burns with back in the day :p well not that far back in the day but 2 years ago feels like awhile ago even if I have been playing 5 years or w/e idr anymore.
