For abyssea pop items where you need more than one triggers to pop, is there a way to macro them?

Looking at this LS monopolize the ??? for like 10 straight pops.

What you do is you target yourself, then hit trade in the menu. After that you spam F8 until you target the ??? then spam the items into the window as fast as you can. That's the best you can do.

They've probably got it well-timed and using AllSeeingEye to be ready to hit OK.

Or make a macro "/item "Piceous scale" <t>"

Substitute for whatever item you are using of course. I always have it on all my macro pallets as CTRL-0 somewhere down where I won't need it in the set and switch back accordingly. Of course you have to f8 faster than them so what I do is set myself up so I can't see any monsters or pets and just spam f8 until I here the ding and then hit the macro. Kinda hard to fail that way unless there is a casket(always get rid of your caskets) or you are further than 6 yalms away.

Does not work for multiple pop items.

Right, thanks for the tips everyone. In the end, managed to win once, but they were almost done anyway. I completely lost count of how many pops they did...

And of course after the LS left, me and a bunch of JPs that kept losing had a more civil queue system going on.

And when you complain about it you get flamed by the botters. :\

An quick explanation:

As Krazyrs mention, adding /targetnpc to the macro saves you the hassle of pressing F8, which slows you down because you have to press F8 then press the button or key combo to trigger the macro.

Definitely faster. Needing to tab over to the ??? puts you at a disadvantage especially having tab through people, chests, monsters. With the /targetnpc macro you don't have to target anything manually, just have to make sure you're standing in front of where the ??? and that there's no npc closer in front of you than the ??? and just spam the hell out of that macro. The only person I can see beating you is someone doing the same thing (then it's just luck who pops first), or someone using allseeingeye and spamming the ???.

Servers are in Japan so their game packet travels through 1-10km of optical fiber while yours has to travel half the world adding about a few hundreds of miliseconds to go to Japan and them come back to you. Can take up to two seconds on worst case scenario.

There's your JP button.

This. I don't even bother to compete with JPs. My internet is bad period, and factoring in their huge advantage, it's just not worth it.
