Borderlands 2

We both agreed that it seems unlikely that Roland will remain dead, the only explanation that we could come up with as to why he wouldn't just respawn (he is a Vault Hunter after all) is that he was shot with a very rare Plotonium bullet, Plotonium being the online substance known to make main characters unable to respawn.

So we started thinking about ways they could bring him back when we realized that Angel just died, and as such a new Siren must have come into existence if what Jack said about there always being 6 Sirens active is true.

So here is what I came up with, keeping a few things in mind: Lilith and Roland were finally back together, having awkwardly kinda mentioned having a thing for each other.
Angel died allowing the creation of a new Siren.
Roland is freshly dead.
Lilith has had a huge amount of Eridium absorbed/put through her body.
My friend pointed out that while it wasn't made explicitly clear, Sirens are not simply born with their powers, that some outside force seems to be involved with them developing their powers (Right now we think it has to do with the Ancients or some other aliens but not 100% sure).

My crazy idea:
Shortly before the battle in the Angel Core, Roland and Lilith finally got it on, and Lilith got preggers. This conception would have to occur in a very precise timeframe so that the actual moment the child is conceived, Angel will have recently died. Shortly after Roland also passes away.

Now the system in which Sirens are given powers by, let's just say the Ancients, we are going to assume involves Eridium. This ties in to why Lilith is able to use Eridium to enhance her own abilities. Now keeping in mind that Lilith is a heavy Eridium user already, the timing of her pregnancy just before being used as a catalyst to charge the vault key, we can then assume that some of this Eridium would be passed to the newly conceived child within her. This would essentially cut out the need of the Ancients (or whoever) to infuse a new child with Eridium, basically cutting out the middleman.

Now it gets a little dark... Remember I said that I don't think Roland is going to stay gone for very long? Well, we now have a potential baby Siren, with Roland's DNA... A little research by good old Tannis will uncover a process (and deliver the news in a hilarious but completely insensitive manner, of course) in which the baby can be used to bring Roland back from the dead, but the baby will be destroyed in the process...
