it was a subtle jab at religion vin, you sounded like "my beliefs towards this topic are right, and Im not filling my childs head with whats wrong" type attitude
When nothing about any of this is about right and wrong or "what really counts" because none of our beliefs are what really count they are just our beliefs

I want my hypothetical child to question the world around them as I did as a child, but I don't want them to make the same mistakes I did with my beliefs I developed growing up.

I think baptizing any child is wrong, personally. Child has no choice as to what religious ceremony it's about to be the object of.
Doesn't really sit well with me.

For my hypothetical child, sure if the one who's womb birthed the child wanted it to get baptized I'd let it, but that doesn't really mean I won't fill his/her head with what really counts.
I didn't say what really counts.
Of course teaching your child the way you see your world and influencing their thoughts in ideas in what you see as right/wrong is what really counts here.
Child Baptism doesn't matter for ***past tradition is why I said I'd fill their head with what really counts.
So unless you know a baby that can comprehend the importance of getting baptized, he isn't going to take anything from the experience.
Baptism of a child isn't really for the child, it's for the parent.
