So long story short, I had been paying for multiple accounts with my CC, my Bank got concerned with it being the x3 chages a month and decided to cancel the charges thinking it was fraud, suspending my account. I called my bank and called SE with my LM 17 error, after giving them my CC info everything was fine. Well this happened 3 months in a row, even though i let SE and my CC company know the charges were accurate and to stop freaking out. Same thing i would call SE and my CC company and complain, and lm 17 would be lifted and I could play again. well today after it happened I called SE to have my monthly chat and get myself unbanned. Well when I called I was told i was perma banned because my CC company asked for to many charge-backs. Now that highly seems fair? I tried everything with the SE customer service but they wont tell me anything or let me appeal it in anyway. So it looks like I just got shafted out of 7 years ftw :|

You can do almost everything worthwhile in the game with three characters so why not. Its his money, maybe he can afford it. I know people who pay a lot more than 30 bucks a month on completely useless things.

Paying for multiple accounts isn't so unusual. My husband bought ffxi for himself to play, as well as for me and his younger brother as presents. That's three separate accounts all paid by the same credit card.
It's never been a problem for us. I'm sorry that the bank and SE did that to you. :-( Protecting people from fraud is of course an excellent thing for them to do, but when you've repeatedly told them it's ok and they still do, that's just frustrating. No fair, but that's life I suppose!

I had similar issues, not quite as bad as yours tho. SE should be ashamed of their customer serivce its TERRIBLE! Really sucks that they would do this to such a loyal gamer such as yourself.

I pay for myself, my mule and my wife's two characters on the same CC. Never had an issue... /crossfingers
If you're relying on a LS for all of your stuff you are doing it wrong.

I've been LM-17d for charge backs before, I contacted SE gave them the relevant info, phoned them up and changed my card asap.
It's nothing to do with you having multiple accounts, it's your bank getting the money they've taken out, back. If this has happened twice in a row before then you only really have yourself to blame bro. If you get your account back then make sure to let the bank know not to charge back or change cards.

Shay The only issue I had with my two accounts was when they had the same number of mules, resulting in two identical charges. When I added one more on one of the accounts I didn't have any problems.

If a company receives X number of charge backs from a CC company, that CC company will not longer deal with that company.

It's hard to believe how little they've improved over 7+ years, despite what I'm sure must be fairly constant customer complaints.
I don't know if there's some corporate issue, or if it's a cross-cultural issue (I almost always get a fairly thick Asian accent when on the phone with S-E). Sadly, the moral of your story here is that it's foolish to trust S-E customer/billing support to do anything right. One has to double or triple cover yourself when dealing with them. I won't say they're rude or incompetent, but honestly it just seems like they do not care about the customer at all. The common adage "the customer is always right" just doesn't seem to apply with them.

100 to one you bank with capital one or wachovia. They did very similar to me and caused me to bounce a rent check. Got my money back about 7 days later made sure it was off my record, then I took all my money and I went to a new bank. This was also the day of my 21 birthday so my account was suppose to be at 380ish and I was at negative 1,450. So yeah fun times.
