Sometimes it's just fun to be a total jackass and say something embarassing or something ridiculous, even just to be funny around your friends. Pretty sure nobody expects pick-up lines to actually work most of the time. Although they do work great as ice breakers, but usually not to complete and total strangers.

I've usually been direct and confident when approaching a woman, although unless I knew them to a point, I wouldnt just go out and ask them for information about them like numbers and lets go have some sex without atleast getting to know them and see if this is a woman I want to be with at all.

I dont know, Ive never been one to be interested in having sex just to have it I guess, not my thing. I see most of this gen and mine being about sex --> spending time with the person afterwards, vs I liking it vice versa, spending time with the person and then leading to that.
