Korpg, I'm gonna guess nothing because SE's release of this information says it's the "second half" of the job adjustments and additions.

well.. for me the question is, what else does RDM get? WHM got the campaign teleports & soon new abilitys and BLM retrace... but nothing for RDM ;; an own tele for RDM would be nice...and refresh with 5 mins means just not a total of 150 MP it means 300 MP and thats it...lol.. so every 2 min 30 sec casting or every 5 min...

Looks to me like a attempt to make RDM more melee friendly~

Why does Red Mage need something? It's still the best soloing job in the game, by a long shot, and still one of the most highly sought jobs in experience parties / merit parties.

Or its just what it looks like. Gives you more time to melee instead of the constant recasting of haste/refesh.
This with addition of new enspells. Looks logic to me but I can be wrong.

How is that going to work though?
Your gear made for enfeebling sucks to melee in....
You would be spending a lot of MP buffing everyone, and curing, and you would need to heal alot
You would also be giving a lot of TP to the mobs if you are meleeing at the same time
The gears just doesn't make sense, this is basically a solo or mage only JA, not both at the same time...

He has tanking gear, enfeebling gear, hMP gear, kiting gear... He is riding on 69/70 inventory spaces already, even with this new update (which could bring it to 80 spaces) he would not have enough spaces for melee gear. He is one of the best RDMs in the server, so I doubt he would get on melee and start whacking mobs for a chance to enfeeble better... Some people are already maxed out on spaces, and even so, RDMs get ***for melee gear anyway, we have worse accuracy than a DRK sometimes, even with great gears on.... Oh, and yes, I do melee Avatars, and I don't have to swap gears to do so. I'm just saying, why put more pressure on RDMs than they already have?

Thats an entire new setup there. I'm a BLM/SMN/WAR/RDM, I already had to semi-retire RDM because of lack of space left. I'm going to level SAM soon, so I will have to full retire RDM when I finish with subjob leveling. I just don't have the space to be all my jobs and still be good at all of them. Sometimes, you have to let things go...

On the subject of space, what I really want is gear groupings. When I change jobs I need to manually switch over all the items and it's annoying. Some sort of grouping, whereby moving / swapping the groups moves all that job's items over would be an absolute god send.

Having all that gear still takes up inventory spaces. If you play as an endgame RDM, you will forever be stuck as an endgame RDM. You won't be able to play other jobs for fun, you would be stuck as RDM for the rest of your endgame career....

WIth 80 inventory spots I would fit some melee gear alongside all the other gear I usually carry for RDM, so that's fine:) With enf/haste/dst+1 set/hmp/convert/mnd setup on me im at 68/70-ish, 10 more inventory could optimize my other setups a tiny bit, and I would still have room for a SH+1, a Joyeuse, a cpl Toreador's rings and a pcc/fort torque.

Would the increase in accuracy be to 95% cap? If it is physical accuracy too, it could be magical accuracy. It was kindof implied, but you can never be too sure. Either way, accuracy or not, that still requires a whole new gearset.

I usually carry full haste set on RDM, why would you need a whole new gearset when all I(atleast) would only need 4-5 acc pieces:)

To be good at enfeebling (this is just enfeebling btw) you would need the following:
4 HQ Staffs 4 Grips Magic Accuracy gear Enfeebling gear if no Magic Accuracy in slots MND gear for MND enfeebles INT gear for INT enfeebles
That alone would rank you up 30 slots...
Then you have your Curing gear
HQ light (or regular light, doesn't matter tbh) MND+ gear (more the better) MP+ gear (more the better)
Then you have your /heal gear HQ Dark (or regular dark, doesn't matter tbh) all the hMP gear you can have MP+ gear (whatever you don't fill up in hMP slots)
Tanking gear HQ Earth (its ok from Enfeebling gear, so don't worry about it) -Physical Damage taken gear -Magical Damage taken gear HP+ gear Enmity+ gear
Kiting gear is the same as Tanking, except for Blood panties
Ok, now look at how many slots you have left.....yup, you have none
Now, add melee gear to the list, which includes
Joytoy (or Justice, but then again, you would need stones + pouches) Accuracy+ gear Sword+ gear Attack+ gear
Whoops, you are already out of spaces.....and you haven't even gotten to the Sword+ gear at all....
