I may not understand what I'm about to say, but I think we should also click on the ads that are presented to show our support.

I'm fully aware that there is more to people that play FFXI. What I am saying is that on this website, you simply should be bound to a singular subject (or a small variety of related subjects), because obviously the presence of no boundaries has caused more harm than good, or we wouldnt be having this discussion at all. I remember FFXIAH.com before it had a forum. When it was just a research tool for FFXI players. It probably should have stayed that way. The forums were a great addition when the discussions were limited to certain topics, allowing the users to research and discuss things related to gameplay. What the users have turned it into is an absolute mess. In a nutshell: we need off-topic (i.e. not just FFXI/XIV) forum participation in order to drive enough impression traffic to support the rest of the site.
The question we're wrestling with is how much. I do hope you can figure it out, as I, along with many others, enjoy this site :)

Six months of work ruined in one week. MEH! Life goes on. what if people who can't donate instead pledge to turn off adblock for ffxiah.com? i think this could be a viable option and it would help in the long run even if you do not click on any ads, as im certain quite a bit of this forums userbase uses/has access to a type of adblock.

I am confident that Google will reactivate our account, we had a relationship for over 5 years and were responsible for approximately 80% of ffxiah.com ad revenue. I'm in the process of shifting impressions to our other partners in the meantime. Thanks for the support. :)

Basically, I am saying if we're too bad for them, then so are a whole lot of other sites. But that is all good, because they would be too powerful otherwise. I don't know.
