Really the golden age of the troll in FFXIAH is coming to an end which is good. People like spicyryan and draylo literally ***all over nearly every thread with senseless babel or one sided opinions, and it reminds me pretty heavily of the KORPG vs mod days.

You guys do an amazing job running FFXIAH and have way more gull than me to deal with half the things you guys do. I applied as a mod once like 2 years or whatever ago and looking back I'm glad i didn't get accepted because this place would almost be a barren wasteland lol.
Everyone has opinions including myself and the pretentious ideal that your opinion is better than someone else to the point where you need to go emo as *** like the above mentioned users is really just out of hand.
I can't actually wait to see some actual cracking down. Really its the reason lude screenshots or porn isn't allowed here... family friendly for the most part and the forum has been anything BUT that.

This topic is about trying to get some donations due to the decreased revenue. Costs 820$ per month to keep this running; I think if we can even get a Benjamin to that we've made some small not of success. Wow, I haven't been on the forums that much lately because I've been playing FFXI more and this happens.
What surprises me is that Google took the time to look at forums here and they're concerned with the language in each thread. I could see if there was a problem with threads that were on the main page with vulgar language, but to criticize all threads. I have mixed feeling on this. Does this mean the end of religious and political threads too? Still funny how people are pointing fingers when they should be looking at themselves.

Donating is a great idea, but don't think that's going to change the new policy effects coming into play, because FYI. it won't lol. Unless your dollar amount is more than google's dollar amount your donations don't hold precedence. Not that you shouldn't donate. I feel the donations are more for the actual AH anyway than the prolific ramblings of our forum attendants.

To be honest I'd be happy with a solution like paying $1-$5 to keep the forums the way they are now.
For free you could use the option to check AH prices, but anything else would require you to pay. $1-$5 a month is not too much to ask I think. The donations aren't in any way meant to try and change the new policies. It's because a source of revenue was just destroyed and this website is entirely too good to lose.

Whatever this is, it's a powerful piece of software. It is also extremely solid (rarely crashes or has downtime) and has great community functions as well as tools to keep track of just about anything in game. I'd call that too good, personally.
