I highly doubt you will be able to augment items like Hauby. Being able to do so would make HQs worthless and ruin the economy even more. I can already see this ruining SH value, if you can add 10 ACC 10 EVA both to the same piece of gear. My guess is there will be some limitation, say maybe.. 1 stat and 1 ability mod, such as 10 RACC and Quick Draw.

This doesn't make sense. +1 items are still going to have higher base stats than the NQ after you augment them. It wouldn't depreciate their value at all. 6Str,6Dex,12Acc,12Att with say STP added is still better than 5Str,5Dex,10Acc,10Att with STP added. Also, can anyone copypasta the BG post with this info, for work blocked people PRZ :D

Ok after looking over those, I'm going to make a list of my jobs and how I would set each body piece. I suspected that these for the most part were going to be very good for situational uses. Would be cool for others to do this too, so we can get alot of ideas of what situations everyone would use these.
WAR - ACC + Crit rate - Already have a hauby+1 but this could be a great RR body DRK - ACC + STP/SB - Right now I'm forced to use Askar body with nagelring to obtain a 6 hit build, but Drk suffers hard from acc. This would be an interesting way to correct that. MNK - ACC + STP/SB - Couldn't really decide on a good one here, but this may be good for tanking chariots, already have shura togi but if you didn't then haub for mnk would be a good choice NIN - ACC + DW - HI2U chainmail with acc BLM - MACC + FC - My blm isn't 75 yet, but (not sure here) this could be a very good sleeping / stunning body? COR - QD + MAB - Best QD body in the game now, even though my cor is low its going to 75 after blm and this is prob the choice I'm going to go with SAM - RACC + RATT - Nothing here for Sam that I don't already get with current gear, but if you use sam/rng ever this is like Kyudogi +2 which is pretty damn sweet.
What would you guys do for each of your jobs. Based on what you use your jobs for/your current gear.
Edit: Also, I'm not a PLD but ENM+5 and Fast Cast = ZOMG {See You Again} Valor Surcoat. That's just freaking SICK.

for a pld IF you can add Augmentations to gear that already has stuff on it think about this.

I assume that that augments that they list will apply only to the bodies from the the missions. It would be WAY to broken to add that stuff to any slot.

Well, just a hunch but is anyone else wondering if this is "all" the armor that will be available from completing this add-on?..
SE is usually sneaky and does not reveal all the info on new stuff. Just seems kinda fishy that they would reveal all of the rewards already before the add-on is even available... So maybe there could be more armors obtainable, and those 3 are just a sneak peek?
Either way, i'm liking what I see already :)

Well an idea is maybe it depends on a path you choose for the body piece.
Let's say that a mage body is what you want to augment.
A specific quest/mission objective is selected for that mage body.
Complete the quests,NMs, whatever SE decides on how you get the body piece key items.
Then return to the NPC or the augmenting NPC and trade key item & body to augment.
Select the stats, then probably wait 1 game day or 1 conquest week :/ to get augmented item.
It's just an idea they might do
Edit: Also they had said before it is items you used to wear then just store away or get rid off cause of better options. So maybe they are AF bodies or some other type of body that sits in the moghouse.
I think I'd like to fix up the blm af body for some good stats if it is the case. I dunno. We wont know anything til it comes out.

That's what I was thinking. I was wondering if the augment items needed would be retrievable in salvage like events, whereby getting the drops and trading some form of synthable will allow you to choose an augment.

Just so I understand this (I'm confused lol), the new expansion has 3 new pieces of gear, plus you can augment gear, but you can only augment "plain" gear (gear with no stats bonuses other then defense)? Or can you augment those 3 new pieces, too?
Anyways, Accuracy +10 and Store TP/Subtle Blow are gonna be my pick for my DNC, I'd love to dump some dex and acc gear in other slots so I could throw on more attk

I think the COR version of Mirke + QD -5 and Magic Acc or Att +4 will be my pick. The only deterrent to that would be if the Augmenting has some similar options available. If I could put similar things on an Aketon, I'd go a different route with that body.

Let's assume for now that these particular augments are only for the 3 expansion bodies. Stick to these 3 and which you would pick with what augments.

I would obviously add on Ranged Attack +10 and Ranged Accuracy +10. This would make this piece give a combined 12.5 Ranged Accuracy, 12.5 Ranged Attack and +5 STR & AGI for weapon skills. Since Corsair can't use Osode, this would make a nice alternative to the hard-to-aquire Skadi's.
Only problem is, Quick Draw delay -5 is on the list of augments... So, hmm. It depends if this is the only augmentable piece. If it is, then I'd obviously swap the Ranged Accuracy with the Quick Draw recast.

Too bad there's no MDB on that list--There's MAB, what the hell D: This would SO go well with the Iron Ram Sallet Set if it had any MDB :< I'd go with Enmity +5 (love my hate!) and... Fast Cast +5% I suppose.
Not much else to choose from unless I wanna go DD PLD, then I'd add Accuracy +10 and either DA or the Store TP/Subtle Blow stuff. Maybe. I'm not much of a DD, though XD
For my PLD/RDM, maybe Fast Cast and MAcc +4. *shrug*

This would be because i wouldn't lose any enmity on a head piece and still keep the +6 shield skill.
And for the 3 bodies that are listed i feel that they wouldn't benefit me in any way that gear that i already have does.

Most Pld's will prob go with what Zapper said, Loq earring on pld and /nin is gonna be /drool with the fast cast, the added enmity would help holding hate.
For my Sam i'd prob throw on some double att +2% and acc+10, it would be like a hauby but no -agil and more double att build^^. This armour looks hot, hope its not too easy to get hold of tho or there will be a load of people in whitegate that look the same XD

For us Blu's that don't have much endgame stuff, the Mirke with Double Attack + 10 Acc would be hot, or Fast cast for moar headbutt spamming o.o

However, for pld, combine the CC body with 5 enm and 5% fast cast and you have one of the premire endgame bodies for pld. This, Ares's Cuirass, Koenig and either Avalon or Iron Ram (if it has MDB) would be the ideal body collection.

I'm looking at Enmity+5, Fast Cast (5%) for PLD.
